“Girls met here for long weekend. This is an older home updated. We didn’t do any cooking basically just slept there. Kitchen appears well stocked. It’s winter in Iowa, so parking of vehicles is required to be in the alley. Plenty of room for our vehicles Owner great to work with; very quick to respond to questions. We will definitely book again!!”

“It was clean and more spacious than I thought. Very relaxing sitting spot near the lake. It has sun and shade. Quiet and peaceful.”

“We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Shouse at Highland Hills Hideout. It was clean, cozy, and super comfortable. The hosts were warm and welcoming, very easy to communicate with. Then there are the cows! It was very relaxing. We visited the Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend while we were there. Wonderful.Plenty of cafes in Emmetsburg if you don't feel like cooking.We look forward to staying here again. ”

And the house was completely updated and had everything a traveler could need was provided. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Margaret and Joe. Overall, our stay was great! ”
