“My wife and I are in our early 70's and have stayed at many locations mostly hotels when we have traveled. This was by far a much safer, welcoming place to stay at a price very close and in some cases cheaper than some of the local hotels! The hosts are both personable and available if needed. The place itself was like a fancy efficiency with a small but full ktichen, washer and dryer, separate bathroom and a small dining table, desk for work and couch. There was a TV but we never turned it……

“This was the perfect base camp for a few days of exploring around Asheville and Chimney Rock. We loved coming back to the relax on the front porch or by the stream and were very thankful to be able to add a third night to our original booking. We are in a road trip from Maine to Georgia, and the hot tub also made for a nice way to relax while on the road. As I write this review from a roadside hotel near Atlanta, I miss the quiet babble of the stream…”

“The house is in a great location, close to many different hiking trails. I love the stream that runs along the back of the house, which you can hear from the back deck. The fire pit and shelter are a nice added feature. Going down to the shelter and fire pit is steep, so be careful with little kids or anyone with issues walking. The house is small, but enough room for 2-3 people. We had no issue with the shared bathroom, but the shower is small and may not be comfortable for larger individuals.……

“We spent two days at the cottage, and when we weren’t out touring the town and local shops, we were relaxing on the fantastic screened in porch. Hearing the babbling waters of the nearby creek made the time even more enjoyable. The house was well supplied and very spacious. It was also clean and comfortable - all we could ask for. If we’re ever in the area again, we’d definitely want to stay again.”

“Everything was accurate to the listing. The beds were comfortable, the house was clean, the furniture was nice. One thing I'd recommend people looking to come here are aware of, is that the house is not easily accessible by sedans or small cars. The road up the mountain to the house is extremely steep, and two of the smaller sedans we brought had a very rough time up, to the point where we had to have some people get out of the car to make it up. The location was very nice. We were close to……

“Gorgeous long range mountain views. Beautiful, comfortable 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom. Bathroom was huge. Quiet serene place. Host was most accommodating, supplying everything i asked for. He responds promptly. Recommended an excellent tire repair shop when i needed one.”

“The perfect spot for our weekend golf trip with the boys. Plenty of games and entertainment for everyone to hangout and have fun. The beds were really comfortable and everything was clean. We plan to come back next year.”
