This was our second stay at the Lakehouse and we will be back next year adding a 4th day! We love this vacation home. The setting and location is just fantastic and we have stayed at a lot of nice homes around the Northland, in Duluth, Lutsen and Tofte.It is spacious and comfortable. It has a huge kitchen, excellent WiFi reception, smart tv so you can get all of your favorite tv apps, comfortable firm beds, a huge yard (in fact a huge property, several acres with no chance of seeing or bothering next door neighbors) and bonus, 600 feet of private beachfront. Our dog was in heaven. And the sunrises are spectacular.As the host reminds us every time, things close up “late" in the year (October!) so don’t expect stores and food establishments to be open, so bring your own provisions. The first time we came we arrived on the day that everyone closed for the winter season. This year we came a week earlier but found that people were already closed or had drastically reduced hours. So be mindful about your timing if things being open is important to you. You can always go into Bayfield.This is a beautiful part of Wisconsin and the South Shore of Lake Superior is very different from the North Shore! We are glad we discovered it.
