This home is in the foothills of the beautiful Black Hills, where prairie meets mountains. We built it on a cliff, with a spectacular view of the valley below and the Black Hills. It has log siding, with subtle stone trim, and sits on 7+ acres, overlooking the beautiful Black Hills. Our home is licensed and inspected by the state of South Dakota as a legitimate vacation rental.

The wraparound porch invites quality time in the fresh air of the Hills with sunrise and sunset views.

While the mountain air cools the house comfortably, central air conditioning is available for those rare hot days; as well as a furnace, should the temp be just a bit too cool.

Offering 2 bedrooms, plus a loft this home provides plenty of personal and communal space for up to 6 folks. The full kitchen and laundry room round out the home. New carpet was installed in 2019. A garage is included for your vehicle, whether it's 4 wheeled or 2 with plenty of extra parking.

Our rate is based upon 4 occupants. Our fee for additional folks is $35 per person/night.

Great stay - hope to return someday

House with incredible view!

We loved our stay at this great house in Hermosa. It had everything we needed and Bob is an excellent host. He made sure we had everything we needed. We even made friends with his horse Diamond. The location is central to all the sights and activities in the area. We would stay here again!

Perfect place to stay. Not to far from rapid & all the things to do with young children. Our family enjoyed the view & the house was very well kept and had almost everything you needed. Bob the manager was super friendly checking on us and willing to help if ever needed.

Home Away From Home

We walked in and immediately felt at home. Everything was neat and clean, smelled fresh… I slept in the main floor bedroom, the bed was comfortable, just steps away from a full bath. The AC worked great, the house was nice and Cool… The host was there to greet us when we arrived and answered all of our questions. Would Highly Recommend this home, and will stay here again whenever we are in the area.

We had a wonderful trip! This place was the perfect spot for our family. We were able to see the sights (Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis, Badlands, Devil's Tower and everything in between) and spend some time relaxing before we headed home early in the morning. The home had everything we needed to make our own meals. Beds were clean and comfortable. Thank you for such a great experience!

The house is more spacious than we expected and is in a central location for Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, Rapid City, Custer State Park and Wind/Jewel Caves. Bob made sure we were settled in and made great suggestions for local dining & grocery shopping. Would absolutely stay here again with no reservation!

Our experience with the area was great. Mr. Bob is an excellent host. He called us a couple of times to make sure we were ok and made us feel like we were in our own home. He also provided some tips to see the local attractions. If your going to the Rapid City area, this is the place to stay.

Breathtaking!

The views here are absolutely breathtaking. This home was the cherry on top of a wonderful vacation. The pictures in the listing do not do it justice. Bob was wonderful, welcoming, and kind. The home had everything we needed; it was cozy, clean, and comfortable. When we make it back to South Dakota, we will absolutely try to stay here again.

Best host ever!

Beautiful location, great central location to see all the sights. Cute, clean, comfy house with everything we needed for a week’s stay. But, the best was Bob (and Donna)! I’ve never had such an attentive host who truly cared about us and our vacation. When heavy snow came in our last day, he called to make sure we knew roads were closed and see if we had enough food. ❤️ We LOVED our stay!
