The stay we had was amazing! I booked the hotel for my parents through Expedia, and we reserved two rooms. The listing mentioned that each room could accommodate up to four people. We had one room with two guests and the other with three.
The rooms were clean and nice, and the food was very good. However, we were disappointed with the service from the staff due to misinformation on the website. Since both rooms had one king bed, my father asked if they could provide a rollaway bed, and the staff informed him there would be an additional charge of ₹2000, which we initially agreed to.
But to our surprise, they simply opened the sofa bed that was already inside the room. As someone who works for Marriott, I know that if a room includes a sofa bed, there’s no extra charge for using it. A charge only applies for a rollaway bed, not for a sofa bed that’s already part of the room setup.
Therefore, it doesn’t make sense to be charged ₹2000 for something that wasn’t added additionally to the room.
