"Great choice for a large group of friends. The pool and facilities (eg fire pit) were great, kitchen was very well supplied with everything we needed. We had 12 people for a joint 30th birthday party and could comfortably have had many more. Only minor thing was because it is such a lovely old building, some of the rooms got quite cold in the night (mainly the ones with floor to ceiling windows) and we weren't sure how to put the heating on. However Matt messaged directly to tell us to let him know when to put the heating on - but would have been good to have this info beforehand."

"Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. It’s an old style building though- so you can hear people in the street or going up/down the corridor outside. Doesn’t bother me- but would be disturbing for a light sleeper. However- Ilfracombe is a sleepy Devon town so there is no noise after pubs shut or before 6am"

"On arrival we were greeted by Alison one of the owners & she gave us an idea of our bearings this was fantastic and really began a wonderful relationship for the whole stay. The room was small but extremely functional for us both and really comfortable and clean, only a couple of minor issues with maybe updating a few things but everything worked and we were extremely happy for the duration of our stay The breakfast and facilities were excellent & we loved our mornings catching up with the owners, John the chef was superb and the food was exceptional Loved the location the people and the food and slept extremely well for the duration of our stay We would recommend highly this wonderful accommodation and the owners/ staff were a credit to the Hospitality community "
