“We had a very nice stay at The Guides House and would not hesitate to book there again. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond when we reached out to him. The house was both clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with the lockbox but with a little perseverance were able to get it to work. A very positive experience. ”

“We stayed in one of the small cabins. The cabin was just as described on the website and in the photos. The bed was comfortable. The porch on the front of Cabin was nice. We enjoyed watching the sunset over the lake. We ate both nights at the restaurant. The food was the best we have had in a long time, with very fresh ingredients and all the staff were friendly. They went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The service was exceptional with several extra nice touches We will be back .”

“The room was very attractively decorated and the kitchen well-equipped. I enjoyed reading on the dock in the early evening and having breakfast (such as it was - see below) on the little porch off my room and looking out on beautiful, serene Big Moose Lake. I wish I had known the continental breakfast I had read about online was discontinued a couple of years ago after the fire. I didn’t have much food with me and had only brought lunch food for the next day. Fortunately, I had brought a few……
