“This bed and breakfast is one of the cleanest, most charming and comfortable places my husband and I have ever stayed in! The host Mike is amazing! He called us the morning of to take our breakfast order and to walk is through the check-in process (which is very easy) and even gave us recommendations for dinner. Definitely try PK’s pub if you like a good home cooked meal. We would hands down recommend this to everyone and would love to stay here again!”

“Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!”

“The location is in a very quiet neighborhood. Not much for food options there, but the next town of Herkimer has some. As for the kitchen, the fridge had bottles of water, which was a nice touch. Also, there was ice in the freezer- thank you for that. The host was pretty good at communicating. The apartment had just enough space for our family of six. The pull out couches were not too comfortable for adults, but ok for the kids. The two beds in the bedrooms had very firm mattresses. We had an……

Bed was comfortable, the shower was good. Only suggestion, and not a complaint.. maybe safety rails in the shower for those of us who need a little help with balance.”

“It’s not every day you have the opportunity to stay in accommodations built over 200 years ago! The history of the home was provided in great detail in a binder in our room making our visit that more memorable. Anne and Alan were superb hosts. Their warmth and genuine kindness elevated our stay to a 5 star! Breakfast was amazing in presentation and delicious to our palettes! If we are ever in the area again we will come back to the Pratt Smith House. Ps. I traveled with my 87 year old……
