One issue - the wash basin in the bath room did not drain well and there was blockage. As a result there was some smell coming off the bathroom.

Vor allem haben uns die typisch einheimischen Egghoppers und Stringhoppers sowie die Rotis mit Dalcurry geschmeckt. Auch das Abendessen war hervorragend! Der Blick vom Pool ist grandios. Guter Einstieg für eine Reise nach Sri Lanka! Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen!”

“Clean and crisp is no small feat in a hotel room in Sri Lanka. This hotel was near spotless. My only problem was the room window opened to a concrete wall, a sad thing when Kandy has so many wonderful views. The staff was wonderful and the Tables restaurant upstairs did have great atmosphere with wonderful views. ”

“I try to write fair, detailed reviews as I rely on them myself when choosing properties. Mountbatten appealed to me for its heritage positioning and proximity to Kandy’s historical centre, and in many ways it delivered.
Location & Atmosphere – 5★
The setting is exceptional: tranquil, elevated, surrounded by greenery, and beautifully maintained. The infinity pool is stunning and the staff are very mindful of guests seeking quiet. It genuinely feels peaceful.
