Excellent Location and Rental

We loved our stay at this VRBO. The location and space were both excellent. The management company checked in with us periodically which was great. The only reason I gave 4/5 on check in was we got there at 4 pm, and had to wait 5-10 minutes for the cleaning to be completed. Not a huge deal as the place was very clean when we entered and well stocked. I would highly recommend.

Honu Kai

We loved the location. The views were gorgeous and the proximity to the beach excellent. We loved seeing the sea turtles come to the beach each night as we watched the sun set. The pool and hot tub came in handy and were well kept. The villa was spacious and very well stocked.

Wonderful oceanfront spot

The view, especially at sunset, is stunning and beach and restaurants a close walk away. Kristen, the property manager was very responsive and helpful. And having A/C is rare and a real plus, as is the pool that is nearly always vacant, like your own private one, just steps out the door. You can also barbecue right on your own deck.

Fantastic place!!

This place was perfect. Awesome location, great views, and nice and quiet. The ever present roosters don't seem to be near this house, which was a major bonus. The house itself was exactly what we needed and the owners/management were super helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Perfect.

Our stay was perfect. The home was impeccably clean, we had everything we needed, the beds were comfy, communication was prompt and friendly...really, just perfect. Brennecke's is visible from the lanai and Shipwrecks a short walk away. We can't wait to be back.

Great Location

The location if the place is great - very close to the beach. Kids really enjoyed the time here. We did have lots of tiny ants in kitchen and a large bug in master bath. We reported this to the management company and they are going to supplement their quarterly pest treatment. It is a tropical climate so I am sure that is not unusual. We had a lot of construction noise because the adjoining townhouse was doing a complete window and door replacement. This of course is not the fault of the owner. They were very accommodating in terms of crediting us for the inconvenience but a bit slow to respond. Overall, it is a nice place and great location. .

Comfortable home, beautiful view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was very comfortable and we couldn’t get enough of the views - we would frequently spot turtles from the lanai and stargaze at night. The space was perfect for our family of three with a 2 year old and we could definitely grow into the space with another child. The pool is only so-so. In the end, this wasn’t a big deal for us because poipu beach (which is perfect for kids) was only a very short walk away and we spent most of our time there. Overall, we loved this place and hope to return!

Great location!

We had a great time! A family of 5 (3 teenagers). This place is walkable to the beaches and some food/shopping! It is a few minutes drive to lots of other food and shopping areas. You can sit out on the patio with privacy from the public and enjoy your coffee or read a book while enjoying the ocean view! Great sunsets! Lots of toys offered - snorkel gear, boogie boards, as well as some board games and books. Washer a dryer was great and the fully equipped kitchen made breakfast easy every morning. We did our main grocery shopping at the Walmart close to the airport. The only negative was that there was a daybed in the master bedroom and a futon in the room with the twin beds. We ended moving the futon downstairs for my son to use. Otherwise, great space for us.

Don’t miss out on this place!

We stayed at this condo for a little over a week. It was wonderful. Our group included me and my husband, mother-in-law, and two kids. The space worked great for our family. (MIL didn’t mind sleeping in the room with kiddos.) the view is amazing and there is access to great beaches within short walking distance — beaches included protected area for young ones and snorkeling. The condo (which felt like a house) had everything we needed for beach excursions—chairs, toys, snorkel gear, water shoes and fins of various sizes, beach umbrella, etc.. We brought nothing with us and had everything we needed for beach days with kids. The owners are incredibly responsive, even showing up with a beach cooler within a couple of hours when we couldn’t find the one we thought would be at the house. The house is well decorated and comfortable. You can watch the waves from the living room lania and the sea turtles floating in the cove out front from the bedroom lanai. Truly exceptional!

Overall great rental for Poipu!

We stayed here with our 3 and 6 year olds on our first big family vacation, so it was a learning experience in what works with young kids. The rental itself is really wonderful - spacious, modern, well equipped, loved having a separate primary suite with ocean views, great location within Poipu. The pool was the only downfall for us since it was chilly, small, walled in between units, not really a place you'd like to hang out for long, especially with small kids and lack of shallow play space. Walkable Poipu Beach is definitely the best beach in the south we thought - protected shallow swimming and snorkeling, daily sea turtles and seals, a cafe for lunch and adult drinks to go, and a playground. However, hauling all our beach gear with kids was impossible, so we either drove or couldn't bring chairs and other comforts. I definitely think a wagon is needed and advised the agency of this. All in all, it's a great option for the south part of the island, especially if you don't have little kids. For young families, something with more outdoor space right off the unit (condos at the nearby Poipu Kai resort seemed to offer this) and more kid friendly pools might be preferable. Next visit we want to spend more time on the more wild and low key North Shore, but I can see the appeal of the sunnier South Shore for retirees with visiting families and easier access to the beaches, hotels, and west coast activities. The agency was very communicative and overall this was a great experience if the pool and beach hauling challenges are not a concern for you.

Beautiful

We were fortunate to find the home just 2 months before our arrival. The location was fantastic and the view stunning. We walked to the beach and they had chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards for us to use. The waves were huge which our kids loved! And the turtles arrived at the beach most evenings. We hope to return.

A Piece of Heaven

My husband and I absolutely loved this villa. It was meticulously cleaned, and the little details left for us and decor delighted us. The king bed was comfortable and the sheets were soft. The soap and shower provisions smelled great and were a lovely touch. The washer and dryer worked well and were blessedly quiet. The gardens surrounding the villa were beautiful. Our deeded parking spot was a relief after sightseeing all day on the island. Entry and exit were seamless. We would highly recommend this beautiful villa to anyone. We would love to stay here again. Beautiful Condo

Beautiful view, great location, nice pool and close parking. The condo was updated, clean, well equipped and nicely decorated. Two great outdoor seating areas to take in the amazing view. Our family of 4 had plenty of space. I would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Stay at a Beautiful 2-Bedroom Villa in Poipu

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming 2-bedroom villa in Poipu, Kauai! Our family of four absolutely loved the accommodations. The villa had a perfect balance of quaint, modern island decor and a comfortable, relaxed vibe. The kitchen setup was fantastic, making it easy for us to prepare meals and feel right at home. The small but private pool was right out the door and nice and warm to relax in between beach hopping. One of our favorite features was the back patio. We spent most evenings grilling out and enjoying the stunning sunsets over the Pacific Ocean—it was the perfect way to wind down after a day of adventure. The location was also ideal, with a short walk to the boogie boarding beach, where we had a blast. Plus, the nearby Poipu Beach Park offered incredible wildlife sightings, including sea turtles and even a monk seal! This villa was the perfect home base for our south end part of our vacation, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well-appointed getaway with great views.

Excellent Location in Poipu

We had a great time at Honu Kai Villa 2. The views from the upstairs deck and the family room were wonderful. The condo is in a great location to easily walk to Poipu Beach and to local restaurants. We walked to Shipwreck's Beach easily and also to the The Shops at Kukui‘ula.The condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies. In addition, the bedding and pillows were top notch, which is really important to ensure the guests have a pleasant nights sleep. Wonderful location and lovely condo. Thank you!

Family/ friends getaway for the Kauai Marathon

We had a beautiful stay in Kauai. The condo’s location could not be more perfect. A very short easy walk to Poipu Beach ( literally across street) . The vibe was a friendly beach neighborhood, where everyone came out at sunset, greeted everyone as friends and celebrated with drinks at Brennekes afterwards! The condo was decorated nicely and well equipped with everything you need for a weeks stay or more. If there was only one complaint which was no fault to the owner…. The previous guests were a bit messy and cleaning crew were still in our condo when we arrived. We felt that are cleaning was a lil lacking but again…. No fault to the owner and we had a wonderful stay!
