I didn’t realize this was a boat access only accommodation. The staff operate the boat across the river and at one point the host left resulting in being stuck at the cabins. In addition I booked because it said free airport shuttle. The airport shuttle was not free so I’m not sure why this place popped up when I put that filter on. The staff were very accommodating and helped get me dinner delivered and were prompt with boating me across and the shuttle driver was ready and waiting. The room was by no means glamorous and the trash from the previous guest hadn’t been taken out which I didn’t appreciate. The location on the river was beautiful and lots of birds for bird watchers." Not only was he the housekeeper, but the concierge, shuttle driver, and host!The moment we walked through the gate, it was a fun, funky, campy, paradise! " Alexa, play yacht rock" ! The gecko pool was crystal clear and we were greeted by the most awesome pool keeper Luci Lizard. We were a party of 3 in the gecko bungalow, 2 bedrooms, well appointed, bright and clean decor. There was a small kitchen, but had everything we needed, mostly congregated in the outdoor grill kitchen poolside! Scott and Michelle were responsive to all of our questions and needs, and had contacts for everything from tours to taxi service. If we are ever blessed to return to Belize, this is where we will stay! 10 out of 10 recommend!"
