“To stay here a car is the best way to go—it’s located on a lovely property a bit outside of Santa Elena proper—not walkable to the Cloud Forest and other things we wanted to do, although only a short drive to coffee tours and a nighttime wildlife tour. The house is beautiful in a very contemporary Latin American style. Nice pool, but it was a bit rainy when we were there and sun breaks did not correspond well with when we wanted a dip—but we can’t blame the hostess for that ”

“We stayed in Casa Verde for 3 days while we explored Monteverde. I love the location as it was away from the town but relatively close. We could walk to the Cloud Forest (make sure you get your passes first though). The house itself was well stocked, although it could have used a heat source as it was pretty cold at night. We took advantage of the hot tub which was a nice treat after our day hikes. Highly recommend checking out El Tigre Waterfalls and Selvatura while in the area. ”
