Poor communication with owner/aka management company. Inquired about an early check in (2-3p) if possible. We were asked to txt when we were closer to arrival to find out if unit ready. We txt ETA when we were 40 mins out and response was “thanks for update”. No indication as to whether we could access unit. Therefore we waited until after 4p. Upon arrival to apartment complex access to the property was denied due to paving company laying new asphalt. Told by worker we would have to find somewhere else to park and walk/carry our luggage, dog bed, cooler and other belongings onto the property, approximately 100 yards. We are senior citizens and one has difficulty walking. It was a hardship. Reached out to “Ms Weizman” and requested she call me. She declined calling me and insisted on communicating through VRBO app. I messaged the problem re: acces and asked why were we not advised? Her response was “ I was not aware of it, give me a moment to Check”. I waited a reasonable amount of time and did not get a response. I messaged again and was told “ … I apologize about not letting you know, we have about 50 properties we manage at this area and none of the other guests complained …as they all add access to the unit, but if you don't feel comfortable and you would like to cancel the reservation, I will issue you a full refund”. After 6pm, on the eve of a holiday w dog Where does one go? HOA posted signs on buildings re:project. If you 50 units you should know
