“Great location, beautiful view completely relaxing ”

“The house was everything we expected and some. The property was awesome and my kids loved the wildlife, a large family of wild turkeys came by. We booked this house for its location near Santa’s Village. It did not disappoint, approx 7 minutes away and at the end of the road there is a cute corner store with great pizza and grinders. I mostly would recommend this property because I left a gold necklace and it was quickly returned. I would 10/10 recommend this property! ”

“I was pleased with the property and hosts. The property is quiet and comfortable. The porch overlooking the river is fantastic. The problem came during and after check out. Our host said I was only registered for 1 adult 2 kids. I had reservations for 5 adults (2weee teens). Later she emailed me saying that because I was only registered for 2 she was charging my card an extra fee. Sure enough when I checked my card was charged again. I didn’t mind paying for the extra. I really had thought...

“This place is a unique stay, that's for sure! If you are looking for an unforgettable experience, you should come. If you love trains, you should come. However, if you are not that fond of tight spaces or old-fashioned style and your traveling companions are looking for luxury and privacy, you might want to look elsewhere. The bathroom is a big tight (it's a caboose bathroom). But the location is really fun. And the owners are very accommodating! ”

“Was a perfect little retreat for the night. The hot tub on the lake was amazing we couldn’t have asked for a better night. Huge full moon and clear skies. Only downfall was we just stayed one night! But the cottage is very cozy. They have some board games downstairs and the tv has Hulu Netflix setup in it so don’t have to log into your own! Has a full kitchen to cook whatever. The local grocery store Ledyard Village market is very close fully stocked and has amazing hot to go food. ”
