Wonderful Time in OC

The location, the view, the comfort of the condo, and the convenience are what made our family vacation one of the best. Highly recommend! The owners were very communicative and helpful before, during, and after our stay.

Best place to stay so far!

We have been to Ocean City for our family vacation many times, and this was our 2nd stay at GG. So many perks for choosing Family Tides....managed by super owners, easy check in, love the furnishings, linens (and beach towels!) provided and beds made. Use of the beach locker is a big plus...very well stocked. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again! ..

Amazing Condo!!

We stay in Ocean City every summer, and this was our best summer yet!! I am extremely picky about cleanliness. I have some very high standards and this condo didn't disappoint!! It was very spacious and had nice furnishings and touches. It felt like a home rather than a vacation rental. We never cooked in the kitchen, but there was anything and everything you would need in order to do so. As a family of 5 with 2 grandparents along for the trip, having 3 bathrooms was amazing!! The building itself was nice and clean as well. Although this is no fault of the owners, the outdoor pool did have gross debris floating in it one day which prohibited me from letting my children swim, but the rest of our stay the pool was nice and clean. The location was fabulous with many things in walking distance and a short drive for others. The view from the balcony was phenomenal and all of the beach items that the owners provide was fabulous!! So many things that I didn't need to worry about packing, which was great! The full size washer and dryer, the hair dryers, the ironing board and iron were all amazing to have in the condo and able to be used!! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this condo or the owners!! Dave & Jay were so easy to get into contact with and communicated so quickly to any of my questions or concerns!! I love that they manage their own listing, they clean their own condo, and that I was able to communicate directly with them!! Our trip could not have been any better!

911 at the Grand

This was our first time renting through VRBO and I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely book this way again. I felt like the owners (Jay especially) was an old friend. I loved that I had his number and could text if needed. Loved the condo and treated it as if was my own! Great kitchen gadgets and appliances, nicest pots and skillets in the 45 years that I have been coming to the beach!

Wonderful

The unit was super clean, well stocked, and cozy. The views were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time here! Even though it’s in a busy area, it is still quiet and easy to navigate. Would definitely rent again!

Truly a 5-star Ocean City Condo

What a perfect Ocean City Condo! We are back from a two-week stay and are already missing it all. This condo is everything it claims and more. Fantastic view, extremely comfortable, perfectly cleaned (read as new), great customer service by owners, well equipped kitchen, lots of upgrades (great sonos speaker, huge TVs, etc) a master bathroom that put ours to shame, an Air Conditioning that actually keeps the condo cool as you need it and awesome building with great amenities (indoor & outdoor pool, gym, volleyball nets and garage parking). We were a family traveling with a revolving door of teenaged children and their friends. We had plenty of room and lots of laughs. We have typically rented beach houses and had some trepidation about staying in a high rise but would totally come back to the Gateway Grand. Elevators are fast, lobby is upscale and everything is clean. We felt spoiled by the garage parking and easy access for everything. The view from the balcony and master bedroom are picture perfect. For those who tire quickly at the beach or need to stay out of the sun, the balcony makes you feel like you are at the beach while relaxing in the comfort of the condo. We saw daily dolphins and nightly foxes hunting the dunes. Already scheming how to get back. Pro tip for those traveling with teens – do not disclose how great the master bathroom shower/hot tub are or you will find yourselves sharing your bathroom!

Nothing less than a stellar experience!

The Layfield's nailed it from start to finish. We've been vacationing in OC for the past 7 years and have always rented from a corporate agency... NEVER AGAIN! It's not common to find a unit rented directly by the owner's - give it a whirl, you'll be glad you did! Not only is the facility located in one of the best areas in mid-town (away from the hustle & bustle), the Gateway Grand is safe, clean and professional. Upon entry to the condo, we immediately appreciated the cleanliness and personal touch of the gift basket. Communication DIRECTLY with the owner was top notch and I felt like they went out of their way to accommodate whether it was related or unrelated to the rental unit. By the end of the week, I felt like we made new friends and will 100% be back next time we're in town. Thanks again, Jay & Dave!

Our new favorite OC condo

We’ve been to Ocean City many times and stayed in various condos and hotels. What you see online is not always what you get, but rest assured, this unit looks exactly like the pictures. It is beautiful! It truly felt like our home away from home. We arrived late in the day and were so pleased to find a sparkling clean condo with sheets on every bed and towels in each bathroom. The view from the 9th floor balcony is breathtaking, and you can hear the ocean waves as you lay in bed in the master suite. The owner is responsive and went above and beyond to make sure everything was set for our arrival and that we had everything we needed while there. We loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to return.

Heaven in OCMD

Can’t say enough about how perfect this condo is. Having stayed at many other places in Ocean City, typically you just hope for “good”. Rest assured this place is beyond amazing. The description is totally accurate. Everything is clean and new. Comfortable and luxurious. Already miss having my morning coffee on the balcony soaking in the ocean front views. I stayed with my wife and 3 daughters for an event at the convention center. Everything is so close. Whatever you want is just minutes away. The owners were available and attentive, frequently checking to make sure we had everything we needed. The attached parking garage was very convenient. Even had an EV charger which was helpful. Beach locker had everything we needed to enjoy the day, except alcohol lol. What more can I say. Gateway Grand itself is amazing - this place is just the icing on the cake. No doubt we will be back! Book with confidence
