“We felt right at home in this house. The key pad was fussy when we first arrived, and VRBO's app did not help us reach the host...not her fault. Maybe the host could message her cell to future guests for emergencies. The house was adorable. Think cabin-y if you go...a bit of a musty smell and some uneven floors...but definitely a solid value with the well-stocked full kitchen, functional living room seating, and extremely comfortable small queen IKEA bed. “Ideal location for touring the Porkies. The house was hard to find at first, but the information the owner shared made it easier. The house itself was nice and served its purpose. The two issues we had were the kitchen's cleanliness and the TVs being hard to operate. The homeowner did waive the one-night fee for the issues, which was very nice. The TV in the family room wouldn't stay on, and the one in the bedroom needed a charging block to use the Roku stick. There was no TV remote, and...

“Neighborhood was quiet, place was clean, bed was comfortable, and we could use the fire pit! They also had wood we could use if we didn’t bring our own firewood. Overall a great stay! Love how close we were to the porcupine mountains. Which was great after a long day of hiking. Copper harbor was about two hours north, which wasn’t too bad of a drive either since it was a scenic drive.”

“This was a great place to stay while exploring Porcupine Mountains, Keweenaw Peninsula, Apostle Islands, and Lake Superior Beaches. Nice central location. Host was excellent with communication. On Thursdays, you might even get the option for homemade pasties to be delivered. House is spacious, couches are comfortable. Many items provided to ensure you can eat at the house. Loved the experience”
