“Gut”

“Ryokan tradicional, sobrio y elegante. Preciosas vistas.

“Loved everything about this onsen. Quiet and beauty room, with nice private bath. Very spacious and good food. The only thing is my husband told the staff before the dinner that he had allergy to all nuts, but the chef/staff failed to recognize that chestnut and walnut are also nuts, so my husband had a bad allergy reaction and had to take medicine. Luckily he didn’t need to go to hospital, but hotel staff should be more educated with what are nuts.”

“For our first time experiencing a Ryokan Onsen as a family of 4, we wanted to experience one of the best in Kurokawa. And Gekkoju does not disappoint! The room was beautiful and spacious with a lot included. The staff helping us was super friendly and accommodating. The service and food was amazing. The indoor and outdoor onsen that is private to our room was fantastic and personally we thought it was much better than hiking up to go to the prebooked outdoor sky terrace onsen, especially at...

“Roomy, self-contained cabin in the hills above Kurakawa Onsen with private spring-fed bath. Great base for exploring the Aso-Kuju region.”

“Our stay was an absolute pleasure, a truly authentic Japanese countryside retreat. Nestled on the outskirts of a small village in Kyushu’s breathtaking rural landscape, the property offers a peaceful and experience. Our traditional Japanese-style room overlooked a beautiful garden, with a stream flowing just beyond it. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went above and beyond throughout our stay to ensure we were comfortable and relaxed. We chose to have both breakfast...

“Arrived around 1245 pm and noticed nobody was at the ryokan. Searched the facility and noticed unkept rooms and the kitchen was filthy”
