“I loved my stay, especially the staff who were patient enough to let me try to speak Spanish but could fill in with English when I needed it (which was often). The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast included lots of options from gallo pinto to bread, eggs, ham, cheese, and, of course, excellent fruit. The hotel is an easy walk to the National Museum and there was a fun (and free) Calypso concert going on when I came. They even let me store some luggage there while I went off to explore……

“When I checked in, I was advised not to walk outside alone after dark. It is just too dangerous., The glass doors going into the lobby were locked in the evening and early morning.
