The property is amazing! All 16 of us had suites and the access to the lake behind the home and the golf course at our front door could not have been better. This is the best home I have ever stayed in as a VRBO. It is very well built and very well appointed. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you would want in your own kitchen!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Excellent house to gather families

We had a reunion of families staying together and the house was perfect for our group. Plenty of sleeping options, great kitchen, and plenty of bathrooms.

Very Nice, Spacious House

The house is as advertised. The only reason the overall rating isn’t 5 is due to maintenance issues in the living area above the garage when we arrived. I’m guessing this will all be resolved before the next guests arrive.

Family ice fishing getaway

Family Vacation Four Generations

Celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary required just the right property. We found it with The Golf Road Lake House. Our four generation family of 18 had all the space we needed, We love to cook together and the kitchen was truly a chef's delight. We were thrilled with the ice maker. We used a lot of ice and it kept up with us. The management responded quickly when we had some minor issues. Our family had a great time down at the lake with floating water toys. A few of our group enjoyed golfing. We never ran out of things to do. Our family will remember this trip forever! We highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Property

Great place. Large enough to host big groups. Air conditioning stopped working halfway through trip. Jon was responsive, but it was hot!! House has everything you need for relaxing trip!

Lifetime Memories Made!

We had an incredible week at this beautiful property! The accommodations were perfect for our family, including the private dock, golf cart and beautiful lake. The golf course and restaurant were amazing too!

Great House. Good location

The house is amazing. It has 4 kitchens, so plenty of room for food and drink. The main kitchen has a separate ice maker in the cupboards and refrigerated drawers in the cupboards. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Great location right on the golf course and lake. I would say the swimming area was quite weedy and there was not a hot tub as the listing says but everything else was great.

Beautiful Home - Awesome Lake

Our group of 17 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and it had everything we needed. We especially loved the clean lake and being right next to the golf course. The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe for walks. A couple of things to note. There are lots of steps in the home and the both bedrooms in the basement do not have windows. Also it is a steep walk down to the lake but having the golf cart available to use worked well! We would highly recommend this beautiful home!

Great for Family Get-Togethers

Seventeen of us (three generations) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Golf Road House. With the 9 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms everyone was able to find suitable sleeping arrangements. Multiple kitchens provided enough cupboard and refrigerator space for food and beverages for a week. The swimming area was great for the kids, and a nearby sandbar provided another option. We rented a pontoon, kayak and paddle board from nearby vendors for additional options. The fish weren't biting while we were there but that's not within the control of the owner. Be aware there are lots of stairs in the house and it's a steep hill down to the lake, so if you have bad knees it's probably not the right choice for you.

week of fun

excellent beautiful home - spacious everyone 6 adults and 8 kids loved it - superb family time - location could not have been better for golf , right out your door - area biking and hiking and rented all water craft and endless time on water tubing wakeboarding and kneeboarding- so easy for fun family time at home , on deck and on yard . Golf cart well used on course and area. We will be back!

Great property on a great lake

Nestled in on the lake next to Butternut Hills golf course (literally off the 1st tee), this place hosted a large group of friends and family. Our group have gone on several trips and we all agree that this property was the best we've stayed in so far. We had 2 boats docked during our stay that we took for several fishing and tubing trips. While there is no "beach" per say, the dock opens up nicely to open water for the kids to play. I would recommend you bring a larger inflatable if you wish to spend time on the dock as with a larger group, the dock is a tight space. As for the home itself, it was large enough to accommodate our group. Enough bedrooms for the kids and each of the families, as well as a large kitchen and plenty of fridge space. Overall the property was clean, new and had enough amenities to keep us entertained for our stay.

Family lake vacation

The house is beautiful and big! There was plenty of room for all 17 people to spread out and enjoy! All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. We were sad that the table only sat 10 so we couldn’t all have meals together. There is extra seating in the kitchen and on the deck. The golf course across the road is wonderful and several of our group spent a few days there! We rented two pontoon boats and were out fishing everyday. Unfortunately not much luck but lots of fun. There is no sandy beach area so no need for beach toys but the dock area has a great sandy bottom that is good for younger kids to play. It is a steep walk to the lake from the house and the older people were thankful for the golf cart that was provided. A beautiful location to spend some time together!
