"A clean place! I didn't see any yucky corners or forgotten surfaces. I was pleasantly surprised by this beautiful hotel, which also contains the Optical Museum. WOW! I love how the historical features have been preserved, and importantly the Danbury marble fireplace which is a feature of the museum. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT: after a long day of travel I wanted to hit the hot tub after dinner, but it closed at 9:00pm. If it weren't for the hot tub I would not have ended up here, so Expedia got me on that one. Another issue is that I was waiting at the front desk for twenty five minutes. Come to find out, those were the 25 minutes the pool area was getting locked down. I suggest accommodating adults who may come in late from long travels by keeping the hot tub and pool open until 10:00pm. Food: I had an outstanding Caesar salad for a very reasonable price, with wonderful service from Larry the bartender! Thank you, Larry! PS If they hadn't closed the pool down I would not have discovered the Optical Museum!"

"Breakfast was more comprehensive than most. Because I cannot have any food with wheat sometimes it can be tricky for me to have options but there was eggs, potatoes and fruit which was perfect."

"I have stayed at many motels lately and this stay was by far the cleanest with attentive staff. I have my 2 emotional support cats with me and I was skeptical due to cleanliness under bed, sofa, furniture etc. and of course noise but I have to say it was definitely a great comfy quiet stay. And the price is right on. I was going to stay for just 2 weeks and stay at another motel closer to my family but I am not going anywhere! This place is so worth the longer drive to family. I WILL remain here until my house is finished. GREAT PLACE!!!"

"The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and enjoyable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!"

"We were just there to sleep, got in late, left early. Beds were really comfortable and really nice pillows. Beds and bathroom really clean. We had a pet friendly room, which is nice to have as we had our dog. But room did smell of dog, and carpet not too fresh. Still all in all would stay again"

"This Property is Tired. I decided to stay here since I flew into Bradley International and most of my business was between Sturbridge and Auburn. I usually stay closer to Worcester. I promise I’m not a hotel snob especially when traveling alone. Staff was nice enough for what they had to work with. They were pleasant and helpful. The hotel just reads old and not maintained. As I said, tired. Not its fault. The room was clean but again, felt old right down to the white towels that were old, worn and gray. Shower wasn’t draining and I was wading by the time I was done. I didn’t hate it but I don’t think that’s the bar we are trying to hit. At least it was convenient. "
