“The staff, including the restaurant are excellent. I can't say enough of the warm hospitality that was offered me throughout my 2 week stay.
The hotel is well situated to lively nightime food options, walking along the waterfront, and close to town. The hotel is a little tired, but it also had its charm.
Do yourself a favour and book one of the rooms facing the water - evenings on the patio taking in the ambiance are well worth the few extra $$ (versus a room with no balcony).

“Lilly, Ben and the rest of the Toafa Lodge team went out of their way to ensure we had an awesome stay.
We really appreciated all they did for us, including catering for my vegetarian diet, setting up Netflix on the big screen on a rainy night, organising a tour, lending us umbrellas and ponchos, helping us organise transport back, picking us up and dropping us off - even at Crazy O’clock - and much, much more.
On top of that, the rooms are lovely, comfortable and spacious. And there's an AC……

“Loved staying at Liu guesthouse! Was our own cosy little home. Had pretty much everything you have just like home. Proper kitchen to cook in and everything you need. Hot water to shower which many places in Tonga does not have. Air conditioning in the rooms. Own parking spot and lock up gate. You feel more safe because the neighbours dog looks out for you and the property so anyone that does comes onto the property they will bark, they are friendly.
Internet and Tv. Rather stay here than Tanoa……

“I was visiting a friend volunteering for the Peace Corps just down the road so my location was critical. Was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at the White Sands resort. My room was well apportioned and very clean. It looked out through palms to a beautiful white sand beach and ocean. They even strung a hammock just outside my door which made for excellent down time.
The road in is in pretty bad shape but they are looking to repair it. It adds to the rustic flavor! This is a very small and……
