I couldn’t rave more about my wonderful stay at the Kalimna Motor inn ! I had read all the other reviews and spot on ! So thoughtful and kind and welcoming . 2 min walk to Tocumwal Pub for great meal that is so important after long drive . Highly recommend !

A pleasant stay at this motel. Although it is adjacent to the highway intersection, the noise transfer is fairly low as the motel closes a roller shutter to the highway access at night. Check-in staff were cheerful and helpful. From their comments, they were also staying back to check in a late arrival. They gave me a quick run-down of the town's facilities. I had a Standard Room, which was clean and tidy. Just inside the door I was welcomed with a small tray of lollies, and was given a good quantity of fresh milk. The bed was comfortable, with reasonable quality linen. Facilities were more than adequate adequate for my stay. There is an attractive and clean barbecue area on site. The motel is near to takeaway food options and a good Chinese restaurant, and other food options (pubs etc) are a 10-15 minute walk or a few minutes drive away. The only thing I could mark down might be a slight odour from the drains, but this was a minor issue.

A good place to stay
Reception lady was very helpful both over the phone and when we got there. It was no fuss changing one of the room booked to a special needs room when I found out the availability on the their website. Units were clean, spacious, great for big families and friends and good value for money.

The motor inn is very clean (an absolute necessity with covid at the moment). The room was modern and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and we had a good night sleep which is rare when we're away from home. The fridge and microwave were handy. The bathroom was great. Food and drink was within walking distance and the service was exceptional. The only negative is a bit of highway noise but that's to be expected with a motor inn on the highway. An overall great place to stay.

We arrived late on a public holiday after nearby restaurants had closed and the owner kindly let us use the bbq facilities to cook dinner.

responded to this on another platform Temp outside was 2degrees during this period.I have now checked all 20 A/Cs that we have.All are working correctly.All I can suggest is that a customer has incorrectly adjusted the A/C.Why did they not complain to the management.We cannot exactly be sure as we have no guest name, no room no and no date of stay

Interesting character
Enjoyed a room that contained wonderful traditional style, wooden, Chinese furniture, which added character and made it a bit of a treat.

So Dissapointed.
The female at reception was unhelpful and unfriendly. The room was not particularly clean. Extra charges were made at check in that we're not shown on our booking. Facilities in are room were only usable after payment of a huge surcharge. We requested a quiet room and were put between night workers. We could not recommend this hotel.

Well where do i start with this review??? 1.You only booked a Standard double queen room($99) 2.you requested a quiet room,so we upgraded you to a triple room(#18) at NO extra cost. this room is double glazed..This room is however fitted in addition to a microwave with a cooking range 3.if you care to check on line our triple rooms with cooking range are much more expensive( $125 upward) and we only active the range when the proper tariff is paid.Our reason for the extra charges are the additional costs of cleaning up the range and taking away the cooking smells after guests leave 4 you were not the only guests that night in the motel so other guests who arrived later could ONLY be placed beside you. Did you expect that we would refuse them so that you would not be inconvenienced? 5.I assume the extra charges you refer to are a. the $1.00 credit card charge( quite legal) b.The $25 cooking range charge which you declined to pay.

Friendly and comfortable
We stayed here after a long drive from Sydney, the owner was great and brought fresh milk to our room even though there was the long life variety in the fridge. The room was clean and quiet.

Really spacious room that was very quiet. Room also has blinds to make it really dark. Close to a great hotel with fabulous food. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Loved the touch with fresh milk for coffee and the little chocolates were my husbands favourite!

Easy to find
Easy access, even for larger vehicles, park right outside your door for convenience, recently renovated, short walk to supermarket/bottle shop, engaging host, value for money, will stay again.

Very friendly place to stay
We had booked a family room for 4 adults for only 1 night - Room was not ready when we arrived so were placed in another room - Judi the owner opened up the room turned on the air con and showed us where everything was. She was very friendly nothing was too much trouble. Room was very comfortable - Pool was great she even provided us with some towels to use. BBQ facilities were excellent - everything was extremely clean - would recommend to anyone

Good option for a short stay in Tocumwal.
We enjoyed a pleasant overnight stay in Tocumwal. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the motel facilities were excellent for this price range. Bedding and bathroom were great and the room was clean and tidy. It was an easy walk to the town centre with a good choice for meals, although we travelled a short distance by car to the local Golf Club for an enjoyable meal in the busy bistro. On Saturday morning, a large country market was held on the riverbank a short walk away.

Great motel in a very convenient location
This motel is a classic example of don't judge a book by its cover. The surrounds are a little jaded but our room was lovely. It had a queen size bed and a single bed and a fully equipped kichenette. There was ample bench space and also a small table and chairs. The proprietor was most friendly and helpful. Her recommendation for an eating place was excellent - a nearby Chinese restaurant whose food was lovely. As the owners are gradually renovating the rooms, I can't give an opinion on the rooms other than ours (room 20). If staying in Tocumwal again we will certainly stay at this motel.

Nice country motel with Internet access.
Arrived late afternoon and were greeted warmly by Ian the owner. Our room smelt fresh and was spotless. The heater had the room feeling nice and cosy in a very short time. Bed and pillows were comfortable and provided an easy nights sleep. Our stay was only an overnight one as we we up from Melbourne to attend a funeral but we would not hesitate to stay at Kanimbla Motor Inn for a longer period should the need arise again.
