“A large house and gardens full of character and facilities. Our family of 9 loved it and never felt cramped in any way.More information provided than any other stay, both in respect of the house but also of walks and places to visit. Gardens are beautiful as is the location. Weather not good but still enjoyed sitting in the garden and admiring the views.Host was very welcoming and informative.Would recommend house and host to everyone”

“Perfectly located house with a fantastic view across the field to the lake. Wonderful set up with loads of space for a family group of 8 adults. Downstairs bedroom particularly handy for grandparents. Garden room was special and brought the outside in. Well appointed with everything you could wish for. Lots of walks and attractions directly from the door. Lots of helpful hints and instructions for appliances. In summary, can’t recommend highly enough - a gorgeous place. Will be back! ”

“Ein netter kleiner Campingpark. Das Haus war gut, der hot tub sehr angenehm. Der Kontakt mit der Organisation lief bestens, auch als das mit der Zahlung erst mal nicht geklappt hat. Wir fanden die Gegend toll und haben uns im Crake Valley wohlgefühlt. :-) ”

“House was very spacious, view was incredible and we had off road parking. Unfortunately the house wasnt cleaned to a high standard, we were faced with dust, cobwebs and the last guests rubbish! The contact numbers left in the house were of two ladies who no longer look after the property! No wifi code! We also found bug faeces on a bed pillow. Hair and bugs in the bath! Bugs and dust behind furniture. The host and stay company, were very helpful though, and contacted us back promptly. After we...

“We had a fantastic long weekend on the Graythwaite estate. The property was immaculate and well equipped, with plenty of space for a large group and comfortable beds. If you like the Lakes and the activities it has to offer then this is a great place to stay. I would have given 5 stars but for the heating, which uses storage heaters and the property was cold in the evening, particularly on the first night. Also be wary of the fan/light over the hob which was very easy to bang your head on.”
