“Check in was quick & easy - I had booked a bell tent, but due to poor weather I was given a free upgrade to a shepherds hut - thank you very much. I had actually dropped my stuff of inside the tent, which was clean, airy and the bed looked well comfy. Very pet friendly & great views across the valley. You are right next to a busy B road, so do bear that in mind, but it's not too bad. The parking is a bit restricted, but plenty across the road. The kitchen, cooking area was good, simple, but……

“Lovely cottage in the Cotswolds. We stayed here for its proximity to Badminton Horse Trials and we were not disappointed. Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and garden as the cottage had everything we needed and very comfortable.”

“Why is the rating so low? Because the photos and the description do not match reality. The listing clearly states that guests have access to a BBQ (as shown on the website), but the real photos do not confirm the presence of any barbecue area. In our messages, we were informed at the last moment that there was no BBQ at all. The host even suggested that we could bring our own barbecue, which clearly shows that the listing was misleading. “Charming cottage, conveniently situated near Stonehenge and other related sites. It was a great base for us to explore the area. The cottage had all we needed to be comfortable - plenty of space, comfortable beds and well equipped. The village has a great pub (The Plume of Feathers). We were there on a Sunday evening when it is usually shut, but the landlord said he would open the kitchen just for us!! The menu was imaginative and the food absolutely excellent so do recommend patronising……
