The wind and snow is no joke in Iceland—and rental car companies shouldn’t rent 2-wheel drive cars at all in the winter!! ### 5/5 - Excellent Verified traveler Dangerous weather day.The Farmhouse is about 12 k west of Vik, through a mountain. We got stranded in Vik for 10 hours when the road closed. Luckily the Icewear Magasin allowed us to stay until roads opened at 9:30 pm.
