“Very nice”

“ ' The Nest ' was the perfect spot for a reunion of old friends who grew up in a small town near the Adirondack Mountains . We came from our homes across the US to gather in Quincy and celebrate our 70 years of friendship and our 75th birthdays . The Home is very comfortable , impeccably clean , well appointed and beautifully decorated . Our Host was very kind and accommodating and her decorating creates a warm welcoming environment . You will be pleased when you choose to make ' The Nest '……

“This was the perfect home base for us and our adult children when we were not with extended family on Christmas Eve and Christmas. The rooms are smallish but comfortable and tastefully decorated. Lauren' simple and elegant Christmas touches made us feel welcome. The kitchen had everything we needed. A note for elderly guests-- there are a few features which those with less mobility may not be able to take full advantage of. The dining room and chairs are taller than traditional height. “Private and very clean location. King bed was SOOO comfortable to relax and sleep in. Roomy bathroom. Just like staying in a fancy hotel. If was staying longer would have preferred more than a mini fridge. Since no kitchen we made due with doing dishes in shower & sink with a small wash tub. Possibly a small utility sink in laundry storage room would be beneficial. Brought an electric griddle to make our food a few times. Otherwise a perfect location with nice views on both of the spacious……

“We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.”
