Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. “Make sure you go with someone who is open to experiencing a boat and doesn’t complain much. Other than this I loved the boat! The property owner was kind and very helpful. It is not too far from the center, 15-20min scenic walk to center. Was nice to go back to a quiet place after being in the crowded center. If you do not like spiders keep in mind it is a mass above the water, there are friendly spiders. Took Dramamine everyday and didn’t have issues, supermarket isn’t far. The rocking of the...

“I cannot recommend this listing enough. They thought of everything you could want inside the house, the location is fantastic and the communication was seamless. You should definitely rent the Captains Cabin if you are even partially thinking about it. Just do it!”

“The good: My friends & I are from the US and had never been to Amsterdam. My sister (who has lived in the area for 2yrs) suggested a houseboat would be a fun adventure. And she was right! It was more expensive than a hotel, but it had plenty of space for the 3 of us (with room to spare - we could have easily fit 2-3 more people) and it offered a safe, quiet, and comfortable retreat after each day of SO many steps (and sometimes rain). “We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building.”

“Beautiful houseboat in the charming village of Monnickedam. Clean and confortable for a family of 4 - it has everything we needed. Roof deck not pictured to enjoy the sunsets, and a outside table in the front. Close to town, it's an easy walk to restaurants and maybe 20 mins to the grocery store. Easy communication with the host. One small detail, the location in the marina is different than the picture, the houseboat has close neighbourghs but it wasn't a problem. We had a great time!”
