"When it is just a weekend trip to San Diego, you want a hotel that is not far from places you want to go and Surestay Hotel was just that. The staff was so nice and friendly. The room was clean and cozy. I would definitely come back to Surestay on my next San Diego trip. "

"The property was not perfect, but it was enough to get by. You have to pay extra for wifi, but I didn't really have to utilize it while there. Besides Old Town, you have a large variety of stores like Target within walking distance. However, it's important to be cautious of your surroundings especially at night. I saw a lot of unpleasant things and suspicious people close by, but I kept my distance. Be safe and plan ahead. "

"Although the exterior immediate surroundings is rather seedy, the homeless population and the excessive use of marijuana unfortunately detract from this facility. But, once you're inside your room, you can almost shut it out. The rooms are comfortable and clean. It's to be expected for the price point."
