"The basement apartment is well located. It is clean and well equipped - communication from the booking organisation is good and clear. The local bakery and convenience store are fantastic and will provide well for your stay. The only drawback we found is that one of the bedrooms that was configured as the main room for our stay has the plant room (heating boiler) for the whole building with door access to it. Whilst the system does not run all the time - we chose to let my deaf mum stay in...

I took this photo on August 27th in the Faroe Islands. This waterfall is one of the most picturesque and well-visited sights there. And one of the highlights of my trip! It was a dream to visit the Faroes and especially this waterfall. Am so glad I finally did :). And while popular with photographers it is still quite isolated! And compared to the waterfalls of Iceland it is not nearly as popular. Same with the Faroe Islands as a whole. And there was just a few other tourists when I was there at sunset. Also, before the completion of a tunnel in about 2006 this waterfall was even less visited as one had to travel over the mountains to get there. A much harder journey. But the scenery is incredible on the way! And even more so when you are there :).
