“I booked my stay to get away from the city for some R&R. It being my first trip to the Catskills, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I arrived. The cottage was exactly as described. The decor is very welcoming and warm. The record player was a gem! The kitchen was perfectly stocked, the bed so comfortable, and the linens pristine. The fact that I had the sauna and hot tub to myself was a thing of beauty and I used them each day I was there. My host was……

“The Writer's Studio is very a comfortable and tucked away little cottage. I was pleased with all the, privacy while still being in easy proximity to the bustle of woodstock. It was clean and had everything I needed for my visit. At night remember to look at the stars. ”

“The town of Woodstock is about 15 minutes away. The view of the Catskills was incredible from the back screened in porch. Nice and clean and well equipped. ”

“We enjoyed our 5 night stay. The unit was clean and comfortable. As others may have mentioned, there is some noise from the nearby train track and bars, but that didn’t bother us much. We really appreciated the noise cancelling machine that was provided. One suggestion for improvement would be to make it explicit to guests that the backyard (incl. grill & hot tub) are shared between the upstairs and downstairs units. As guests in the upstairs unit, it felt awkward to hang out in the backyard,……

We saw the hosts and actually had a chance to speak with them - a lovely extremely friendly couple. And we were so grateful that we did because they had the best recommendation on the restaurant which was just perfect. As I said this place has a soul and character. We felt like home.”

“This house was a little piece of heaven tucked away on the Esopus Creek. The house provided 2 paddleboards and 2 kayaks, all of which we used.At first glance, the creek is not very inviting because of the algae, but when you get to the middle of the creek, it is very clear.There is also a hot tub, ping pong table and lots of games.The house was nicely decorated and plenty of room for 10 of us. “This a an adorable, well designed, spotless space which was perfect for our over night stay in Rhinebeck. Property a quick walk away from the fairgrounds and downtown was also walkable…the host was absolutely amazing with great communication and detailed instructions! ”
