"This was truly a zero hassle experience with very clean and functional accommodations. The lake is very clean, peaceful, and relatively calm. The shallow beach area beyond the point provides great swimming and the paddle boards are wonderful. The house has lots of space and with multiple sitting areas for multiple groups to sit and hang out from the front living room with a tv, to the main living room, the comforable back porch, the fire pit aream, and even down at the point by the lake. This is our second time booking and we will probably go again! Thank you!"

"Wonderful homie stay"

"We had a great time. The house was awesome and exactly what we needed. We had a problem with the trashcans at the curb. They were full. The owner fixed that problem very quickly. She had her Dad empty the cans. The driveway and road to the dock was a different story. The cars were fine to turn around. You could not turn trucks around at all. We had to back up the driveway every time we left. It’s not an easy driveway to back up. We had to have a truck to shuttle people up and down to the dock. That part of the driveway was straight up. Our senior relatives would never have been able to walk up and down the driveway. That’s the only reason we will not rent this house again. "

"Our son who attends Auburn University met us here at the cabin. We enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and kayaking on the lake. My wife , myself, and 2 younger children visited Roosevelt’s Little Whitehouse and Callaway Gardens. Both were good trips not far from the cabin. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Almost Heaven. It was clean and comfortable and very relaxing. The views were beautiful from every room, and the screened porch was perfect for reading a book and napping. We brought our boat, and the boathouse was nice and accessible. We hope to come back soon!"

"As a teacher conducting a field trip, this spot was a great. My family chaperoned with dogs, and the host was accomodating. I gave it 4/5 stars because it was cleaned for us right after another guest but there was a few cleanliness issues. The house is great and the host was accomodating. I recommend this location for one's consideration."

"My stay at the Lakefront Villa 1 included a family of 6 adults. This villa has more than enough space for everyone to move comfortably. The decor was wonderful. It has everything you need to cook and store your food and beverages. The bedrooms are large and spacious. The bathrooms there are above standards. The views of the lake are breathtaking and all you have to do is open the back doors and it will lead you straight to the water. The fire pit was a wonderful place to settle down and relax after a long days activities. The hosts are simply amazing and attentive. If you are looking for a great place to stay I would suggest Lakefront Villa 1 at Lake Wedowee, Alabama."

"The place was great. We are a family of five, and had more than enough room. The large covered deck area on the lakeside was fantastic, and the additional paddle boards and kayaks were a nice bonus. The first floor is an open living/kitchen area, and there is a laundry room and full bath in the very back. The second floor has three full bedrooms, small living area and full bath. One of the rooms has a trundle bed, and the living room couch is a pull out bed. Lastly the top floor is the master bed and bath, and it has a large living area. While the third floor is private, there should be a set of double doors between the master bedroom and living area. That would offer more privacy for the bedroom, and allow two families to easily utilize the second and third floors. The lot is gently sloping, and the cove is great for swimming. If you are bringing a boat, there is literally a ramp right next to the yard. The fish cabin was vacant while we were there, but it is right next door, so if both units are occupied, you will be close. There is only one dock, so you will need to share it if the other unit is occupied. "

"This was a lovely, well stocked house in a beautiful location. I would definitely stay here again. The only mentionable con was the downstairs master bed was not very comfortable and extremely noisy anytime you made the slightest movement. My spouse and I ended up sleeping in separate bedrooms as a result. Luckily, there were multiple beds so it was an easy adjustment. Again, I’d stay here again despite the bed. Our family had a great getaway! "

"Exploring the lakes in our kayaks was a blast. Very quiet and relaxing place although the walk down to the lake is nice coming back up hill is steep. Seen some deer feeding around the back yard in the evenings. My husband and I really enjoyed the home and area. "

"Wonderful, open, spacious feel of a "camp" on the water, with all the amenities of your normal house!Beautiful view, and absolutely no noise, with great privacy!Bring anything you'll need for your stay, because you will not want to leave while you are there! (but if you forgot anything...Dollar General is a stone's throw on the main road!) Gas station close by, and Bobber's Bar and Grill, right on the main road.Loved the kayaking and swimming!We will be back!"

"This property is very peaceful and serene. The little cabin was clean and provided all essentials. When we weren't resting, my mom and I enjoyed visiting the Flat Rock park that was very close by and free to visit. We plan on visiting this cabin and Lake Wedowee again."

"Lakeview was AMAZING Clean and comfortable 2bed 2 bath house.Simple, no frills inside BUT we spent a lot of time on the almost wrap around deck.Access could be slightly tricky when it rains. Get there before sunset to locate cabin.Bring board games or activities if internet gets flaky...or just sit gazing at the lighthouse and lake and birdsThank you!!"
