It did not disappoint; excellent and helpful staff, brilliant location with an easy walk to the old city, a private secure car park, quiet comfortable room, and a good breakfast. "This is a very central hotel, and at first glance is very much in the traditional mould. However everything is modern, comfortable and works. There's even a pool and the breakfast was very good. The parking is limited but there's (paid) public parking right outside. Overall very good value for money."

"This is a lovely little hotel in a quiet area of Bergerac but very close to the railway station. My room was very comfortable and clean with a good bathroom that was also very clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good. I would definitely stay there again."

"We had an excellent two-week stay in this lovely traditional gîte. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped. The hosts, Pascal and Sabine, were wonderful and very welcoming. Our 10-year-old son really enjoyed the pool area. There was plenty to do and see in the area. We would definitely recommend it."

"Booked a room for seven nights, but checked out after the first night. It was incredibly hot that week, around 105 degrees. The room had no air conditioning, or fans. The windows could not be open during the evening because there were no screens in the windows and with the mosquitoes and bats flying around that was not an option. It was cooler outside than in the room. When I decided to check out the following day the staff were apologetic, but there was nothing they could do. The resort, as of now has not offered a refund for the remaining six nights."

"The perfect place for an extended family holiday. My husband, our three children and their families, 14 of us in total, have just spent a wonderful holiday at lLe Hameau. The area is fantastic for exploring the Dordogne but above all the accommodation and the setting are perfect for a large group holiday. The three houses are very well equipped, comfortable and provide space and privacy but the communal dining and kitchen areas in the Red Gite allow for the entire group to eat and socialise together. The massive swimming pool is amazing and we spent many hours enjoying swimming and having fun there. The games room has plenty of activities to please all ages. The fact that we had the whole place to ourselves was a real plus. Our hosts were superb, discrete but always available to help. Communication with them was excellent, prompt and we were made to feel very welcome.We also had a special meal for our wedding anniversary prepared by Céline which was arranged through our hosts. The meal was of high quality and great value for money. We have no hesitation in recommending this venue as it provided everything you could want. Thank you to Yseult, Laure and Norbert "
