“The cottage has excellent amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming in the lake, relaxing in the hot tub and the nightly campfires. The modern kitchen has all the utensils, cutlery and dishes etc. that you need. The oven and barbecue allowed us to cook delicious family meals together. The only drawback is the closeness of the busy road the cottage is located off of. We could hear the traffic day and night. ”

“The Cottages were beautiful. Clean, modern and all the recreational options were available: Boat, canoe, Excellent swimming opportunity. The owner responded almost immediately to requests for info or questions regarding the cottage functioning. The lake is sooo clean and the fishing was great. The residents were very friendly and helpful. We got stuck in the middle of the lake because the gas line got kinked and so many nice people stopped to help us. Very enjoyable and would highly recommend....

“The view is magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We only used the upstairs so can’t speak to the lower level. Bed was comfortable. Bring your own top sheet. Location was perfect for exploring the area. Sunroom and deck and floating deck were all really nice! There is a train that goes by but it didn’t bother us at night because we had 2 fans and a sound machine on. We would stay here again! Loved it. ”

“Family reunion trip where both main cottage and cabin were rented together. The pros first- Host Terry was very responsive to questions and very accommodating. The interior of the main cottage was very nicely renovated. Linens and towels provided. Wi-Fi stable. Lake Shawanaga was warm and very clean. However, there were some disappointments. 1. Both main cottage and cabin were not cleaned very well. There were cobwebs in bedrooms and bedsheets still had lots of pet hair. One bedside table was...

“Our family had a fun time at this beautiful cottage. We made good use of the watercraft available and enjoyed soaking up the sun on the dock. Our grandsons especially loved the fooseball table and pinpong table. There were even girl toys that our granddaughter played with. We have a large family so it was a challenge trying to fit refrigerated items in the one kitchen frig. Availability of a bar frig would have been a help. Towels are provided which is great but explaining on the cottage website...

“This property worked very well for our family of 10. It is on a beautiful lake and has all the equipment you need to enjoy the water. The one marina on the lake had a rental that fit our needs and we had no problem getting or returning the pontoon boat. Saw some beautiful sunsets and even went to a great pizza restaurant via the boat. We did not use the sauna---the weather was warmer than expected (P.S.-the house had A/C that worked great!) and the grandchildren noticed bees/wasps in the entry...
