“Filthy and disgusting. I would not recommend this property to anyone. Smells like damp mouldy cheese that we later found out to be the drip tray behind the fridge. It was liquid and mouldy. The toilet seat was loose and wouldn't tighten. The skirting boards were dirty and dusty. We found a mouldy sponge under the kitchen cupboard. No toilet roll. No hand wash. Mouldy bathroom. Dirty toilet. Bins hadn't been emptied. Dead woodlice in the bedroom on the floor. Dirty on top of the fridge. Brown bug……

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cliff Hotel. Staff were great - attentive and helpful. Our room was in need of refurbishment (carpet had iron burns for example) but clean and comfortable. The sea view rooms all look on to a huge pipe which is from the extractor fan in the kitchen. It’s noisy but is turned off during the night until about 6.30am. We kept the window open for ventilation but once the fan started….. Food in the bar was excellent and the service fantastic and can’t be faulted.……

“Brilliant stay . One tiny issue with the radiator not going off but even though it was 10.30 pm the chap on reception came straight up and sorted it for us . Breakfast was delicious and service very friendly . Would definitely recommend the hotel and we will be returning. ”

“Great welcome from our lovely host, and sad that we had to rush back home, could have stayed a few more days. If you want a nice friendly atmosphere and lovely cooked breakfast, then Gable End is the place to stay. The owner made us feel very much at home, and we shall call again most certainly soon. Breakfast was cooked and served by a lovely man who did not keep us waiting and served us as you would expect from a good hotel. Room was nice, new carpet laid down and comfy bed, nice view of the……

“Used this hotel for an event near the hotel. Its overlooks the coast and a few minutes walk to town. Cant fault the staff, friendly, helpful and polite. Hotel was clean. Price was reasonable. The breakfast was really nice and the restaurant served evening meals if you wanted to eat in. Down side, yes sorry.... heating was on constantly , so windows were open all day and night as the thermostate on one of the radiators by the bed didnt work so we were unable to turn that radiator off. I think……

“Amazing apartment, just around the corner from the beach and the pier. Key code entry worked well and we felt safe. Street parking was scarce, so once we got a space we tended to stay there, however OYO helped with a payment link. ”

“The hotel looks onto a large lake with fantastic views. No traffic noise, plenty of parking. Great bar and restaurant. Rooms are well decorated and cozy with lake views. ”

“No problems at all with this establishment we even had a fridge in the room which came in very handy. Ok for parking and walking distance to town centre. Owners very nice. No compalint 😁😁”
