It’s a must see. This hotel is a small operation but our room was huge with the largest bed ever in a hotel and a very comfortable bathroom as well (Room 12). We loved staying here so much we wish we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious and had everything you needed. It is an old building, so no elevator and tight hallways. Mostly great service although a couple of the male workers seemed a bit snobish when we had not made reservations for dinner. There are only a couple of places to eat so if that is a big concern, make sure you have a reservation. We still managed to eat at a pub across the street and at the sister location, the Manor. Right in the middle of a cute little village of Castle Combe. Our room was great and the staff were all very friendly. It would have been nice to have a mini fridge in the room, but thats a minor issue. The parking was a little strange too because you have to drive all the way around to the Manor House parking lot, the walk through the gate back to the Castle Inn and on our second day, they were blocking people from getting to the parking because of some event going on at the Manor House, but we still really enjoyed the whole experience of staying here. We ate lunch there twice and dinner once - the Sunday roast was especially delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Very friendly and helpful staff. Powerful shower and very hot water but shower screen was not very clean. Dinner was rather disappointing and quite expensive.
