I got the chance to visit this magical site, the 500 year old Chinkapin
Oak, know locally as the Sacred Oak. It's on private property in the Oley valley. The owners open it up to visit twice a year, the next time being June 4th 2016. It is amazing to see, the trunk is 19 ft around and there is a marker in front dedicating the tree. It was a beautiful October day, and perfect for viewing this wonder. I must have taken 300 pictures.

This spot is where the Carsonia Amusement Park used to be located, the man made lake is still there but the rest is long gone, ducks, frogs and fish are plentiful. It's a nice place to take a walk. Or go swimming in the pool which is aside of it.
