We stayed here around Christmas time. We were skiing nearby. Location was great. With the snow the cabin was great for views. There were some issues with the internet/tv working for the first few days- but was addressed. There was a little issue with the shower downstairs leaking- we sent a video the first day but little could be done. Little issues
The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful! The deck was the best part. Could use some updating, but super clean and perfect for our week in Eden! Would definitely stay again!

Stunning lake house!
Beautiful views and peaceful, on the water!!! Loved the deck and the access to the crystal clear water!perfect for paddle boards and kayaking!! We also visited the beach area at the park 2 min away, that was very nice! Having 3 bedrooms and 2 baths a plus!! Loved our stay - just a little uncomfortable with no air conditioning or fans in the afternoon heat.
Beautiful property facing the lake! Very peaceful, and perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking from the dock! 3 bedrooms , 2 baths were good for 5 adults and one baby. The home had everything needed except no air conditioning or fans, which made daytime inside very uncomfortable. The huge deck was a great space!
The lake view is amazing! We enjoyed the little boat a lot! The kids swam and fished a lot! The only problem is the refrigerator that makes so much noise at night and the stove that smells propane a lot (I got nauseous because of that).
Very nice place. The three level deck/dock was great. The big upper deck was the highlight. Great fireplace, but no wood is provided. That should have been stated in the property description. Overall though, a very enjoyable stay.
Really great ski house, with a few shortcomings. Entrance area doesn’t have a mud room to help with the shoes off requirement.
We didn’t have enough bowls or coffee mugs for our group of 8. There was salt but no pepper or sugar, so plan ahead for all the little things you may need. One of the beds upstairs was not repaired well so it wasn’t too comfortable. The wifi was also spotty but not unexpected in a rural area.
Overall definitely recommend just be aware of a few small things.
The views were gorgeous but otherwise we did not enjoy our stay. We found 4 roaches (a few living) in the fridge. We also found roach or mouse poop on a few of the beds and counters. The roof leaked while the showers were running. A mouse ate through our trash bag and covered food on the counter. Vacasa took several hours to respond and were not helpful when it came to cleanliness.

Beautiful location, cabin need attention.
Lake Eden is an amazing lake that is clean and stunning! The covered back porch was great during our rainy stay and is where we spent our time when not down by the Lake or exploring the area. Unfortunately, there have not been basic repairs in the home for quite some time. Lots of windows did not have screens, and the door screens where not installed. With limited fans on site (and the ones that were there on their last leg), airflow was an issue because of this. There were broken cabinets in the kitchen, the fridge only stayed close with a forceful push (not a new issue judging by the broken clamp that was once used). The kitchen sink was leaking so badly and for such a long period of time that there was substantial damage to the infrastructure. Limited lighting other than overhead lights on the main floor. All the pans in the kitchen were non-stick and scratched up very badly. All that being said, the beds were comfortable and it was clean when we arrived. Hopefully Vacasa & the owner will invest just a small amount back into this lovely place - with a little attention to detail this place could be a real stunner! All that being said, we would happily stay again now knowing what to expect/bring with us.
This was the let down of the century. I’ll start with the one positive, but this is it… the view (from the deck only). Aside from the deck view of the lake, this house is disgusting. Bugs everywhere, dirty bathrooms, I’m not convinced the bedding (comforters) and bathroom rugs are cleaned. The showers were nasty - we ended up forgoing showers altogether and ended up using the bathrooms at restaurants downtown in Stowe instead. We saw ants all over the kitchen and bathrooms. Spiders everywhere. Cobwebs everywhere like it hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned. All of the screens on the windows and doors are busted with holes or dangling off so you can’t even open the windows overnight for fresh air (it’s boiling upstairs - no AC, just dusty fans)… if you leave the windows opened or cracked be prepared to wake up to a TON of bugs. There’s only aggressive overhead lighting - some battery operated table lamps that were clearly dead. Kitchen appliances were gross and who knows when they were last cleaned. The house was outdated. Probably not updated in decades (we’re talking a CARPETED PLATFORM in the bathroom that the shower sits on downstairs). There’s a dangling lightbulb in the kitchen for the ceiling light. Finally, they clearly don’t think about changing the locks on their digital lock system because we had to walk UP THE ROAD in the DARK to call their support (no service) bc the lock battery was dead. This was awful. Not worth the !!! It’s a gross camp.
I have to say this place was great ! My family and I love it there was plenty of room to spread out . It was very clean and had everything you could need You’ll enjoy the beautiful view of the lake . The beds were comfortable we actually slept great The host was amazing!!Thank you for making our experience so wonderful we look forward to returning soon
2 things you need to know…. Fire place at night and lake in the morning! Loved the stay. Yard could use maintenance, but overall lovely

"Gem in the mountains"
I booked this as a last minute getaway with the family for relaxation and it was perfect. As we approached my spouse was getting antsy because he saw how quiet the area seemed, we are from the NYC so it is different. Once the Navigation directed us to turn towards the house, it is a dirt road that goes down a slight hill, don't be alarmed, within seconds the cute lake house is in sight. Everything was as pictured. Very clean, well equipped with the necessities including bath towels, shampoo, soap, hair dryer...which I forgot my own and extra blankets. Kitchen had everything we needed. The porch was wonderful, equipped with table and chairs and a grill. We grilled and played dominos outside while the sun shone on us. The lake, beautiful and we woke up to snow falling on one of the days which made beautiful pictures, The ice melted off the lake by day 2 but we didn't use the kayak. It is a sgle person and everyone was scared to go lol. My son was in awe with the cabin and chose to sleep in the living room with the fireplace and deer head mount instead of the bedroom because he said he loved the feel of being in the woods ;)) Thank you for the wonderful experience and we will be back in the future and revisit Eden dog sledding which is 5 miles away. About 20 minute drive to town where there was a supermarket and several stores and dining.

Nice location but needs attention
We loved the location high above the lake and also close to many places we wanted to visit in the area. We are three senior women who have specific requirements - three bedrooms, at least two bathrooms, laundry and a full kitchen. Our rating is only 3 stars because it does not appear the owner is serious about providing a good experience. The oven didn't work and we learned from Vacasa customer service agents that the owner has been told more than once that it needs to be replaced. While the property has laundry facilities, it consists of small stacked washer and dryer units on the second floor. There is a heater in the living room but no instructions on how to operate it. The living room area also needs more lighting so people can read, crochet, etc. Once someone is unhappy about the big things, the small things are more annoying: no instructions for how to work the TV; there was just one kitchen towel and no washcloths; light fixtures had burned out bulbs; with only one outlet in the downstairs bedroom there is no possibility of adding a table lamp for reading; the IKEA-type wooden slats on one of the upstairs beds fall from the frame easily - perhaps screw some of them to the wood frame to prevent this. Overall, this unit was adequate for our needs and we were able to enjoy the outside space one of our five days when the weather cooperated. Instructions on how to work things would go a long way.
This property is in a fantastic location just minutes away from the Long Trail. The lake views are beautiful and the house itself is clean and cozy. Looking forward to coming back again.
Amazing location. The property needs to be updated. Many things are falling apart. Even basics like light bulbs are not working (1 out of 8 bulbs in dinning area was working!).

Tap water was brown
The home itself was very nice and the view of the lake was gorgeous. I was very disappointed that the tap water was brown and had a strong odor. We had to buy bottled water for drinking and showering was a bit unpleasant. There was no warning about it in the description so I’m not sure if this is typical of this house or if there was an issue. I called Vacasa to find out what was going on and spoke with someone who told me they would call back and they never did. Otherwise, the house and stay was great. Neighbors aren’t far away but it was quiet and it was a great place to disconnect while still close enough to head into Stowe for some shopping. Giving 3 stars due to the lack of warning about the water and because I never received a cal back from Vacasa.
Overall this was a really great stay. The porch overlooking the lake was perfect and the water of Lake Eden was so clear and refreshing! People who like a great daily workout while on vacation, there are 76 steps to the water from the porch :)
A few things that would have made it better: 1. an address to find this place - GPS users: 35 Durivage Dr., Eden, VT; 2. communication regarding provisions - there is a shed that holds a lot of stuff: paddles, etc that would have been nice to know about; 3. the TV - if you're someone who likes to wind down at night with a movie or during a rain storm be prepared the TV/Firestick provided does not work; and 4. the oven is on the fritz - the oven magically turns itself on. The first time it was running for hours before we noticed what was going on. Even when playing around with the 'Sharpie' marked dial the thing turned itself on a couple of different times. Dangerous?
Property was located on a very private feeling lake. Matches the description well. Would reccomend you bring a streaming device for the TV if you plan on doing any watching as the Amazon firestick provided wasn't working. Overall a great stay
