"We were looking for an outstanding home that was in a very quiet, private and peaceful setting. This home fit what we were looking for perfectly. We only had a couple of minor issues and the owner was quick to take care of those for us. One of the nicest things was when we were in the hot tub and thought we heard something below us. When I looked over the ledge there were 4 deer casually grazing 15 ft from us and they weren't concerned with us watching at all. If you are looking for a really nice home that is well kept, close in to town yet very private, you can't do much better than this one."

"The photos of this cabin don’t begin to show the beauty and peacefulness of this cabin. While the Blue Ridge area has so much to see and do, be prepared to want to never leave the property. The large covered deck has rocking chairs and a swing. Sitting there rocking while looking over the stream and into the woods felt like being a part of a fairytale or like a scene from The Secret Garden. Inside the cabin is just as wonderful. The living room area has a full wall of floor to ceiling windows and the furniture is comfortable and cozy. The bedroom is adorable with antiques that are a perfect style for a mountain cabin. The bed is very comfortable. The cabin was spotless. You couldn’t tell that someone was there right before us. The bathroom isn’t huge but not so small that you feel cramped The kitchen has everything you will need. I would like to address some of the issues in the very few less than 5 star reviews. Two issues they mentioned were the “difficult driveway” and a “very hard to open lockbox”. I will admit that the driveway would be quite the challenge for some who didn’t bother to read the instructions. We followed Julie’s very detailed and thorough instructions about both the driveway and the lockbox and had no problems what so ever. Julie’s directions to the cabin were also detailed and thorough. Julie was quick to respond & very gracious about an issue that was 100% our fault. We will return many times to this wonderful , peaceful cabin."

"As an older woman traveling alone, I’m especially concerned about safety. The motel grounds were well-lit and I felt completely safe the whole time. The host and hostess, even with the language barrier, were friendly and prompt and efficient when there was a plumbing problem. I won’t hesitate to stay here again when I’m back in the area. "The property and cabin are both nice. However, it’s not as secluded as indicated by the listing. A lot of trees had been taking down which made the area and property more open to other houses. The cabin was very clean and we enjoyed the screened in porch. Also, we had a wild turkey visit us everyday during our stay."
