Relax in peace along the Juniata River

Newly remodeled cabin on the Juniata River, surrounded by the sounds of nature. Enjoy the babbling river, fall asleep to the sound of crickets and wake up with the birds. Evenings are great for sitting around the fire and enjoying the dark sky with countless stars.
Fishing, canoeing, kayaking or just floating on tubes are some of the fun things to do while staying here. The best swimming spot on the river is also just steps away from your door.
The cabin has a kitchen with electric range, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. Dishes, utensils, pots and pans are provided. There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with a double bed. The sofa in the living room opens up as a double bed also. Sheets and towels are provided.
The cabin has a separate building that houses a shower. An outhouse provides the toilet facilities.
Mini-split provides heat and air conditioning.

We loved our stay!
We had a beautiful stay at this lovely and clean little cabin on the Juniata River. The leaves were changing, so we had beautiful views and relaxing walks between cooking in the cute and well stocked kitchen, playing scrabble at the dining room table, and cozying up on the warm couch. Marilyn and Charlie were welcoming and helpful but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our get away. We may well be back :)

Little slice of heaven.
Wonderful cabin, well equipped just a few yards from the river. Quiet, peaceful, we totally relaxed by the firepit and on the riverfront all weekend. Host and hostess were super nice, available but nonintrusive. Already planning our return visit!

Perfect Get Away
The cabin was exactly as pictured if not better. Loved everything about it, perfect location, very clean, and peaceful it was exactly what we were looking for and more. Fishing, canoeing, nature walks, swimming, camp fire its got it all. The hosts are an awesome couple, very friendly and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer. As a Mom of both a preteen and toddler it can be difficult finding a vacation that suits everyone. But this was it! My family managed to disconnect from daily distractions and reconnect in all the most fun and exciting ways!! You know it was a good time when your almost teenage daughter not only enjoyed hanging out with you but requests a vacation to your destination again! There was plenty to keep entertained on this off the beaten path getaway! And is the perfect place to relax and enjoy!! Our hosts were warm and welcoming from the moment we got there! Helping ease the away from home jitters of our kiddos. And that kind of hospitality seems anymore to only exist it fairytales. We explored a cavern, went canoeing enjoyed bonfires and a dip in the river. Browsed gift shops and enjoyed the small town charm. Our vacation dreams were made reality!

The kids and myself took my husband on a surprise birthday getaway. The house was perfect, peaceful and exactly the place to be. You can fish, float or just take a swim. The balcony was perfect to enjoy your morning coffee. If you are looking for a place to get away from life this is the place. It was a good reset for all of us.

The cabin is extremely clean with furniture that is uniquely made, creative, and tasteful. The owners are very attentive to your needs and go the extra mile for you, also facilitating the transportation for a several hour canoe trip on the river. Charlie and Marylyn are so accommodating, responsive, and helpful. Great experience.

Anniversary Getaway
It was one of the most beautiful cabins we have stayed in. It was quiet and relaxing. Setting out on the deck in the mornings and drinking our coffee and listening to nature around us. Couldnt ask for a better relaxing Anniversary. Taking the canoe out on the Juniata river with host Marilyn and Charlie was great. If u want to getaway for a few days dont hesitate book now u will not regret it. The host Marilyn and Charlie r the best.

Pretty, quiet, clean spacious
Beautiful cabin nice location friendly owners. There was some confusion I selected for mon-wed night but VRBO dropped the 3rd night without informing me that it was prereserved in any way so my problem lays with VRBO in that. Apologies for the moments of loudness, but we had fun wish it would be closer to raystown lake but for the price and atmosphere it was worth the extra drive.

What a perfect vacation
Coming from Oregon to get a taste of the east coast life and did it not disappoint. The cabin was absolutely perfect—everything we could have asked for a sisters getaway. Canoeing, reading, and ending the day at one the best built fire pit we’ve seen, it was a 10/10 vacation spot. And seeing fireflies for the first time made it all the sweeter. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful Cabin Getaway
This was just perfect for our stay in this areas! The kids were able to unplug and play with each other for the visit. We had such a lovely time, and the hosts were very accessible and have thought of everything. The kids loved swimming in the river while dad cooked over the fire. So peaceful and refreshing!

PRIME SPOT GETAWAY FOR NATURE LOVERS
We extensively planned a four day trip to do sight seeing in the surrounding areas during our stay. This wonderful property and immediate area was so captivating we never got back in our car till it was time to check-out. Fishing for bass and kayaking on the Juniata river n hiking consumed our time. The cabin provided the best creature comforts of home. Don't be dismayed by "out-house" or "no-internet". This place has the Cadillac of out-houses, and being un connected from internet solidified the need to get away for peacefulness and back to nature. I am so grateful to these unintrusive hosts (The Romanchock's) who share their beautiful slice of paradise in Pennsylvania with us all. Thanks for sharing, you are the true gems of this treasured cabin property !!! A definite re-book in the future.!

Grateful for the getaway!
I was looking for a quiet location to sit with coffee and watch leaves fall, and this cabin was exactly the space we needed for a short weekend getaway. It was spacious enough and yet quaint. The decor was minimalist but rustic. Absolutely perfect. Marilyn and Charlie were the best!
