“Chose the Comfort Inn because the B&B we booked was not available on Sunday night. Wish our entire stay had been at the Comfort Inn. It is much nicer than the B&B and more convenient to the GAP trail. We initially chose the B&B because we expected the Comfort Inn to be on a major highway and not convenient to the trail. “The Summit is a 1906 grand hotel with all the trimmings associated with a historic bld. If your thing is hanging around the grand lobby, sitting in front of the fireplace chatting with other guests, this place is for you. The rooms are what you would expect in an historic Inn. “When I got there I was given a different unit than described. It would not work for my situation. The desk corrected it by giving me another unit. That did not work as well. Guest services got involved and upgraded our reservation to larger condo and it was perfect. I highly suggest always checking out your condo as soon as it’s available. Fortunately we were able to do all this switching between three units around noon instead of after 4 pm. The normal check in time.”
