Mt Etna adventure: Drove up to Cave Ox in Solicchiata where we tried 4 different wines, fresh pasta and Tiramusu, on to Zafferana for beautiful views and delicious gelato then continued as high as we could where the kids climbed to the top, we didn't quite make it as high after 4 glasses of wine and pasta, the lava sand is not easy to climb up, but fun to slide down!! Such an amazing adventure!!! It's like Hawaii and the moon had a shining baby, named Mt Etna, I could live up here!!!

Hotel bello e confortevole arredato con gusto e semplicità, camere spaziose con letto comodissimo e bagno grande e ben accessoriato. Colazione varia e abbondante servita nei giorni di sole sulla terrazza. Ottimi i ristoranti e le pizzerie nelle vicinanze. Inoltre merita una menzione lo staff attento e cordiale. "We had a room facing the road and the noise hardly ever stopped. Difficult to sleep. Beds were somewhat short for tall people like us. The owner is very nice and friendly. The location is very convenient for driving to the airport and there is a good restaurant in the building next door. "

"Overall experience was great. Staff was friendly, professional and all around great. Lots of outdoor areas to hangout and spend time outside. Pool area was nice. Minibar was stocked with good options and the prices are not bad comparing to other hotels I've stayed. It was almost cheaper to drink from the minibar vs. The actual hotel bar. Pool area was nice but maybe in the busy season it could get growded. Each room has Echo device with Alexa, so you can play music or get other information easily. The room i stayed was clean and good but some things were little outdated and rundown, some USB charging ports by the bed was not working, the thermostat screen and buttons were damaged but i was still able to turn down the temperature, i just couldn't see the actual temperature reading. But because the staff was so great and my stay was great, these things did not bother me. TV channels are all in italian, or at least the 100+ channels i scrolled thru, so if you like watching TV during your stay and don't understand the language, i recommend to bring your own movies or tv shows. I would stay here again. 1 night - room 109 - male 43 - shoe size 11"

La Plage Resort

"La Plage has magnificent views of the sea and the iconic Isola Bella. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the staff are friendly and attentive. Be aware that the beach is rocky and hard to walk on and it’s difficult to enter and exit the sea for a swim. It’s easy to get up to Taormina via the funivia (cable car) for a 10€ round trip. "
