Disappointed
Hotel is in great location. When we stayed it was under construction for interior upgrades. Bad vibration in room, one elevator inoperable, remote had to be positioned perfectly for it to work.

Employees were very kind. No hot water, and AC didn’t work properly in room. Breakfast was okay. Views were beautiful.

tissue box in my bathroom had 2 diff colored tissues. dont take Einstein to figure out why. nasty, and i used them, unfortunately. when ur gonna stuff tissues into an already used box, use the same color at least. i can only imagine where else they r cutting corners, at expense of the customer's health.

I want to clarify that all of our boxes of tissues have 2 different colors, that's when we know that a box is about to be low. Kleenex has actually patented the nifty design trick. You can even find a note about it on the bottom of the box!. As a teachable moment, we have shared your feedback with our team to ensure we are changing out our Kleenex boxes before it runs too low. Please accept our apologies.

Overall my stay was pleasant, This is not the 1st time I've stayed here, The rooms are spacious and clean. The only minor inconvenience was my room was right by the elevator so i would hear EVERYTIME that it was being used and because of how i made my reservations for some reason a computer generated charge to my CC was submitted. I was there for a week and would pay at checkout but the staff at the desk straightened everything out when i departed. Will stay AGAIN when I rreturn to Destin.

This is the second time we stayed at this property and this time it was incredibly run down. The bottoms of our feet were actually black after walking barefoot in our room. The bathroom door was black by the handle. I rarely leave reviews but this one is worth noting. Marriot needs to sink some money into this property.

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fort Walton Beach-Eglin AFB. During my stay, I encountered several issues that left me extremely unhappy Firstly, the room I was provided with had an unpleasant odor, making my stay uncomfortable from the beginning. The furniture in the room was not clean, and it was clear that proper cleaning had not been done prior to my arrival. To make matters worse, there was a chair in the room that emitted a strong, unpleasant odor reminiscent of a wet dog. This not only made the room less inviting but also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the establishment. Additionally, I noticed damaged furniture in my room, which gave the impression that maintenance and upkeep were lacking. It's disheartening to see such a lack of attention to detail and cleanliness in a Marriott property. I was also disappointed that Expedia would recommend this hotel, as I expected better from a trusted travel platform. Overall, my experience at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fort Walton Beach-Eglin AFB was far from satisfactory, and I would caution others against staying there in the future. I have pictures to prove it. The hotel said they could not refund me because I booked with expedia

Your feedback is not what we typically receive so it is surprising and disappointing as well. With regards to payments, yes, that is correct. Since Expedia took your payment, they would need to process any credits as well. We apologize that that the process to do that was not communicated in more detail. Dolphins were out on Sunday, September 17th. during breakfast. Geckos were sparce this year. Limited breakfast choices. No bacon, for example. Sour dough bread was a good idea.

Staff were somewhat unaccomodating to my request of leaving at 1pm. Since i came in at late at 1am due to delayed flight. Front desk did not smile. He looked annoyed that i asked. No apologies from him. We droved from atlanta since our flight was deleayed 12 hours.

I left my cellphone at the hotel, and I've called 3-4 times with this issue. No one is able to help me. They keep giving me the runaround. I feel helpless, and now I have to go to the trouble of getting a new phone. I accidentally forgot my cellphone for rushing, but no one helps me with this.

I booked this hotel for adventure to crab island. Checkout time was at 12 noon and check in was at 4pm. I was hoping to checkin by 1:15pm. We had kids which crab island is inappropriate. We arrived at the hotel 11:15am hoping to get check by 1:15pm. Which would have been courtesy. Front desk staff knew we had a 1:40pm boat paid for as well. We was the only family waiting at this time. 4pm still no room ready. Lost $400 for boat rental and $400 for room wasted time and money. Traveled 8 hours back home upset.Young lady at the desk was careless about others. Requested refund. Beautiful hotel heartless staff.

We arrived to visit family for Christmas. We were told we would have to turn the heater on in the room upon arrival. It was 28 degrees outside this day. We entered the room and immediately turned the heater on, unpacked a weeks worth of clothes and left because it was still too cold in the room. We came back an hour later and the room was still just as cold. I went to the lobby and told the receptionist that our heat didn’t work, she said she wasn’t surprised and that no one had stayed in that room for a while. She then gave me keys to the room next door. After packing all of our belongings we moved into that room. The hotel was not even at half occupancy. They gave us a room with a parking lot view. The other side of the hall where No one was staying has a view of the Choctawhattchee bay. Shortly there after the elevators stopped working. We were on the third floor and forced to use the stairs for the entire 5 days of our visit. They didn’t make it right and even had the audacity to offer us a small space heater for the first room. People don’t book hotels for vacations to use small space heaters. 0 stars
