Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north.”

“Everything here is brand new, in a very old manor. We spent considerable time with two of the three managers while we were there, and found them to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The room was wonderful. Spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. The bar downstairs in the old wine cellar is a vibe. “We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway. “Beautiful Hotel.great beds and bed linen . Had best sleep in a long time, Had a bar meal enjoyed Breaded Chicken Burger , reasonably priced. Efficient breakfast room it was quite busy . Sat down right away and excellent buffet , only criticism. No brown bread for toast, only white .”
