Architect Designed Eco House In A Secluded Littlehaven Private Lane

Summerhaven is a stunning contemporary holiday home built to the highest standards and minutes from the charming village of Littlehaven, Pembrokeshire. Completed in 2013 this architect designed eco-house is reached by 49 steps up through its private, wooded hill-side garden. The house is designed to make the most of the superb view over a quiet wooded valley with a glass wall opening onto the railed balcony. Unwind and relax in the light, open plan living space and explore beautiful Pembrokeshire from this perfectly positioned village location. Little Haven offers a range of quality pubs, restaurants and cafes and neighbouring Broad Haven has a small general store, beach shops and a surf hire centre. Both Havens communities welcome visitors with seasonal events, art exhibitions and festivals to enjoy. Whether you want to enjoy the summer sandcastle competition or join the bracing New Years Day swim there is always something interesting to do and see. Pembrokeshire is a beautiful, unspoilt county with many attractions. Walkers can access the stunning coastal path from the village. All the water sports are available locally including some of the very best surfing beaches. Visitors will find a huge choice of outdoor activities including horse riding, golf, climbing, coasteering and diving.
Pembrokeshire are very strict about waste disposal and recycling. We have provided lots of guidance and labelled containers and we ask guests to help us meet the statutory requirements.

Great find
This lovely eco house is in a perfect location to visit Pembrokeshire. The house is in very good order, is well equipped and its 'tree top' location makes it that extra bit special. We were just four adults but it would be perfect for six people as it has three good sizes bedrooms. The location is perfect, if you can manage the 47 steps to the house, it is a very short walk to the village which has a number restaurants, pubs and a café. We would recommend.

Tree House Feel
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely house which, owing to the location felt like a tree house. Well equipped and comfortable. Written instructions as well as post code would make finding the location easier.

Beautiful house in the trees, just up from the beach.
This is a lovely place to stay. The house is just as good as you see in the pictures. Morning sunlight streams through the windows. The small balcony is beautiful for breakfast. We cycle and run. There are beautiful trails from the door. It’s all that we hoped for. Clive was very responsive and helpful.

New Year Break
Exceptional property with quality fittings and fixtures making it feel like a real home from home. Despite the beautiful village being a stone's throw away, we actually found it difficult to get out at times due the comfort of the house and with the huge windows and views, we felt like we were getting a taste of the outside without actually having to venture out!!!This was our second stay here and it will always be our first choice of property down West for future visits.

Convenient and quiet
A short stroll from Little Haven, and not much of a walk (along the beach) to Broad Haven - we were able to pop down to the beach pretty impulsively, depending on the start of surf and tide. The property description is very clear about the steps up to the house, so unless you're confident in being able to handle these, then this isn't the place for you. The large open plan main room is very comfortable, with lots of room and a pleasant aspect out onto the trees that surround the property. Bedrooms are reasonably-sized and all beds were very comfortable. We had a great week, and would definitely use Summerhaven again.

Excellent house, in a lovely location.one upset however it was at 5.00pm on our last night the power went off. We tried the trip switch lots of times but kept on cutting out. Used a torch to get to bed, Did not spoil our break.

Post Christmas get away
Property was warm and welcoming Little Haven is totally unspoilt, perfect if you just want to 'stand and stare' Perhaps some lighting on the outside stairs is needed ( we had to use our phones to see) Really enjoyed walking at Marloes and the food at Runwayskiln The area is not for those who need to be entertained but it was perfect for us

comfortable and peaceful house near the sea
Summerhaven is in a quiet secluded spot just up the road from Little Haven beach. It suited our 3 generational group well although the weather could have been better! The house was great and we had such fun on the beaches and in the waves and rockpools. Thanks to the owner for dealing with the internet(although the connection didn`t last for long unfortunately). a small niggle was the total lack of any dishwasher tablets. luckily our daughter brought some with her....we don't have a dishwasher ourselves. We will remember fondly our time in Little Haven...down memory lane for some of us and a first introduction for the younger members of the family...Maybe they'll be back in future years.

We had a great time
The house is unusual though very comfortable and practical, we all loved staying there. However, the promised internet connection was not functional all week which was very disappointing as the smart tv could not be used as expected. Also the steps up to the house are poorly maintained with holes causing trip hazards and thick vegetation growing across. The location is perfect, which made for a great holiday.

enjoyable stay at Summerhaven
Overall really good- beautiful location and spacious and bright accommodation. Brilliant and unique design of house. Very clean. Arrived without towels which was a problem. Apparently it was in the info provided but thought it was a bit tight not to provide despite owner saying they had lost some. Also need bigger and more chopping boards for preparing meals for 6. No recycling arrangements for bottles so we ended up bringing them home . we would definitely stay again , but with towels and chopping boards !

Treetop Retreat
Modern, spacious two storey house. Access up 48 steep steps so be warned! French windows and balcony caught morning sunshine trees and vegetation provided plenty of shade. Wake to the sounds of magpies. Very private and not overlooked and just a few minutes walk down to the sea.

The 'valley' on to which this property looks, is the star of the show - we were staying in the canopy of the valleys trees - lovely. Close to beech and pubs - excellent. The steps climb is a little off putting.

Tranquil hideaway
Spacious and comfortable. Brilliant location, minutes from the beach - so easy to dash back for forgotten sun cream, if you don’t mind the 49 steps (worth it for for tree-lined views from the balcony/living space). Narrow but lovely balcony for enjoying the green valley, bird song and drying wet suits (no garden-but didn’t miss one with the beach 5mins away). Good parking at the bottom- welcome in the bustling village. Our own highlights include eating out locally at St Brides Inn, for fish and best chips around! Runwayskiln early for an awesome brunch or lunch and soaking up the exceptional views of Marloes beach from the outdoor terrace before splashing in the waves. St David’s early to avoid the rush on a wet day, for admiring the Cathedral, Grain pizza; The Bench for the best ice creams and great variety; The Really Wild Emporium for a warm welcome, great coffee and unusual but fabulous cake (no breakfast on offer at time of writing but tasty lunch and dinner menus) - speciality is using wild plants and marine algae - great eco shop upstairs too. Not forgetting good coffee and courgette cake at Cornerhouse for enjoying on Little Haven harbour and coffee, take away pizza (fri and sat, book online at time of writing) and award-winning burgers at Sand and Stone in Broad Haven (a skip over the beach at low tide or 15 min walk over the top). Don’t miss the sunset from the harbour, spectacular!

Relaxing and calm tree top escape
We had a fantastic stay, the property is light, airy and peaceful, perched up on the hill within the tree canopy, you can really switch off. Very comfortable large open plan living space with tiled floor (but a deep rug just where you need it in the evenings), nicely furnished, comfy sofas, large table for the jigsaw etc. Bedrooms were a good size and the beds comfortable which is so often not the case so that was great. Bathrooms/showers etc all in fine working order and the whole house clean and tidy. Close enough to the village centre to walk to the pub or beach but away from the crowds. Lovely all round, would like to stay again.

Perfect break
We stayed a week in this fabulous house. Lovely spacious, open planned. Great house to all be together. Wonderful location with coastal walks straight from the village. I would recommend literature about bin collection days and waste recycling, we goggled it but if available would be a lot easier. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!!
