Iconic HVL Home in Historic Neighborhood - Walk to Downtown

Take a step back in time and unwind at this stunning showcase to Queen Anne architecture. The Anderson House is THE iconic home of Hendersonville's historic Lenox Park. Inside, a curated mix of antique and modern furnishings gives the home a regal, yet cozy feel. A short walk to downtown, guests can enjoy everything HVL has to offer, or take advantage of the renovated kitchen and formal dining room--the perfect place to share a meal or have a family game night.

This 4-bedroom, 2-bath Lenox Park neighborhood home offers comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to 8 people. The rooms feature 100% cotton sheets with quilted toppers for a fantastic night’s sleep! All four bedrooms can be found upstairs, one with an en-suite bathroom. The second bathroom is downstairs. Three bedrooms offer queen-sized beds and one of the rooms has two twin beds. Each bedroom is equipped with extension cords for extra power outlets so you can easily charge your devices, as well as heavy, velvet, light-blocking curtains in case your vacation plans include sleeping in late.

While the bones of this house are old, the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated for more modern comfort. How do you like your coffee in the morning? Keurig? Full-pot? French Press? The Anderson House has you covered and also offers complimentary tea, cocoa and a fully-stocked kitchen with plenty of cookware and ample spices. Grillmasters will appreciate the large gas grill on the back deck. Bring your meal to the elegant dining room or, if the weather is nice, feast outside on the covered, wrap-around porch.

Enjoy your morning rocking on the sun porch or reading a book in the foyer. Take a stab at playing the piano for your friends and family or take a stroll through the lovely neighborhood. There’s a park and playground right around the corner! The quaint backyard is the perfect place for yard-games.

The living room is the ultimate gathering place. Spacious and gorgeously decorated, you’ll love coming together to watch a movie on the large smart TV. Curl up under one of the throw blankets and enjoy your evening before a day of exploring the area.

This home is:
*Right across the street from Trailside Brewing.
*Less than a mile to the heart of downtown Hendersonville, an easy walk.
*A three minute drive to Hendersonville’s new Blue Ridge Beer Garden.
*A two minute drive to the Fresh Market, Publix, and Ingles.
*Less than 5 minutes to quiet Laurel Park where you can find Southern Streams Coffee and the most adorable playground complete with mini sandbox castle!
*30 minutes to either Brevard, NC or Asheville, NC - easy to day trip to either, or both!

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the property, with the exception of the host's storage closet and garden shed.

Other Things to Note:
There is an en-suite bathroom in the "master" upstairs, but the other three bedrooms share a bathroom downstairs. Please make sure you are ok with using the stairs should you need to use the restroom once you retire to your room for the night.

A new large capacity washer and dryer are available for guest use.

Propane is provided for the barbecue on the deck.

This home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood so we ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.

The owners only live ten minutes away, and are always available if any issue arises.

Our stay was great! The house is well thought out. Didn’t love the steep Stairs with older folks but it was accurately described in the rental. It was wonderful and really close to Hendersonville which was great for us! The owners were great at responding. Wonderful stay 💕 definitely pleased. Well Stocked with everything you need

Warm Christmas in a Warm Home
This is an extremely nice property we very much enjoyed. There is a great deal to recommend it. Anyone booking should be aware though (1.) it is very much NOT handicap accessible so if that’s a concern for your group this may not be right for you, and (2.) The two bathrooms are not conveniently located for easy use by a group of more than two. It’s manageable, but be aware it will indeed take managing. PROS: It was Hallmark Movie levels of darling. Truly thoughtful decorations and design which will keep you smiling the entire stay. Comfortable beds and towels. Spotlessly clean. Owner was a delight. CONS: If you aspire to cooking dinners for a group of more than three while staying here, know the kitchen is very, very minimally equipped. Pans and dishes for preparing and serving are sparse. The only dutch oven pan wouldn’t be large enough to make soup for a family of four. Bring your own/be prepared to supply what you’ll need, or plan to eat out often.

Comfortable piece of history
Our family of 6 adults spent the weekend attending a wedding at Jeter Farms. The house was the perfect spot to visit the area and still be close to downtown Hendersonville. The house was super clean and we loved the historic feel. It’s a great place to relax after wedding events. We would absolutely book this if we were coming to Hendersonville for the Apple festival. Robert and Emily have created a special place to stay.

Perfect house and location
We were in town for the weekend and stayed at this property. It was exactly as advertised. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, and very comfortable. Excellent location too, very close to downtown Hendersonville and around the corner from a very nice new brewery (Trailside Brewery). Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Girls weekend
A beautiful house. Perfect for relaxing and playing games. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. I need a firm mattress and one of the ladies like a softer mattress. Everyone was pleased with the comfort of the mattresses ( which is a plus when are in your senior years) location was perfect. Close to town but in a nice neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again.

Perfect Home for Visiting Hendersonville
We couldn't have found a more wonderful place from which to visit all of our favorite places in Hendersonville. Emily was an excellent host providing everything we needed and more, and quickly answering all our questions whether about the house or neighborhood or just checking in to see that we were comfortable. The little children, age 8 and 10, happily walked the 20 minutes into town so we didn't have to worry about parking, and the grownups loved the exercise. We went to the Hands On Museum every day that it was open, and the adults took turns hanging out at the Black Bear coffee/lunch spot and checking out the shops. The house is large, fully equipped, comfy beds, and plenty of hot water in the showers. The interior is welcoming, beautifully decorated, and spacious enough that the five of us could comfortably be together or on our own to fit the mood. Treat your family to a vacation that will create enduring memories for you all and book the Anderson House for a week!

Lovely stay!
The house was perfect for our needs and had all the amenities (plus more). There were a selection of toys already there that our children enjoyed, the kitchen was well-stocked with the basics, the decor was tasteful and carefully selected & the piano was a joy for everyone. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. The location was great for our purpose - we came for apple picking and there were several places 10-15 minutes away. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
