Great Stay!

We had a positive experience in every way! The location is wonderful - just 10 minutes north of downtown Hilo in a quiet neighborhood safe for walking. Spacious, clean and well stocked home with washer & dryer that we could use. The owner was kind and helpful. Close to a beach side park. Good price for the amenities. Cool breezes throughout and a great view of the sunrise and ocean! Very very Nice! We even heard some lovely live guitar music coming from downstairs one time. Great neighborhood.

Lovely place in Hilo

We loved our stay at this place in Hilo; it was perfect w.r.t location to all things we wanted to do. It had everything we needed in terms of space, kitchen/essentials and cleanliness.

Women’s Getaway

Was very nice! Very conveniently located for easy accessibility. Perfect for whale watching right from our dining table while playing yahtzee each night ~ magnificent! “Only” downside is the noisy birds at night and also traffic noise. Good sound cancelling earnest would take care of that. I slept on daybed in livingroom and birds lulled me to sleep!:-)) Host was VERY responsive, lived below us:

Comfortable Home

I just had a great stay in Hilo. I was looking for a place near Honoli’i Beach Park and we got what we were looking for. A short drive to Honoli’i Paka and close proximity to Hilo town it was the best place for us! 5 Stars all the way around! Mahalo

Hilo Home Away from Home

This is a really cute apartment. I stayed with my sister while we were visiting the area for a wedding. I really appreciated the relaxed space and the fact that it has 2 bathrooms. It was comfortable, clean and had a nice view from the porch. The road in the back is quite noisy which did worry me when we first arrived, but we slept great every night. The host was nice, communicative but not at all intrusive.

great access to Hilo

This was a great place to stay to explore Hilo and the surrounding area. It has a great view and the property manager is very helpful but not intrusive. Highly recommend!

Large space just a short drive from Hilo

We enjoyed a brief stay at this home. Everything was very clean. There is some highway noise, but it did not interfere with our sleep. We could also hear the ocean waves from here, which was nice. We did see a few whales from the deck. It is an older home with some slanting floors and other quirks, but it worked fine for us.

Quiet Home with Great Views

Love the home. Host was very welcoming and accommodating. Area is very quiet, I traveled with my 7 month old who sometimes doesn’t like to go to sleep the entire night and I felt a little uncomfortable because I felt like we’re loud without meaning to be. All in all a great house with amazing views. If your child needs a TV there is none, which I knew but didn’t realize we would need as much as we did.

Great place!

My husband and I stayed several days here with our adult daughter and her husband. Lots of space and privacy for all of us. Kitchen was more than adequate and location just north of Hilo could not have been better. The property manager lives downstairs and was so helpful and solicitous especially when the volcano alert came through. We would definitely return in the future

Very clean, nice view, quiet neighborhood, close to downtown. Stayed at another rental on other side of the Island, different rental company, not half as nice as this property. I have used VRBO before, very satisfied.

Enjoyable Stay in Hilo

My partner and I had a great time while we stayed here. The apartment is clean and has a nice front deck to look at the bay on. We had all the amenities we needed and the tenant downstairs directed us to anything extra. It is tucked away on a private street. I would recommend staying here if you are looking for a place in Hilo.

Lovely Home - not a good rental for children.

Frist off the owner is lovely and super friendly and very very accommodating! The home is spacious. This might be a nice rental for a couple, but it was really hard for us, as a family with a toddler (3 year old). The care taker/ downstairs tenant has a lot of rules and "quiet hours" . It's really hard to keep a 3 year old quiet and not allow him to run on the floor. The Caretaker also plays VERY VERY loud music until 3 or 4 in the morning. The owner gives you a number to call to get him to turn it down, but he generally sleeping and does not pick up, so it's sort of pointless. Also the property doesn't have any enclosed area we were allowed to use, and it's on a pretty busy street. We were told not to let the toddler on the grass as there were fire ants everywhere. The back yard furniture is rusted out and broken, and the garden patio shed is broken with shards of wood and nails sticking out. We bought them a TV so hopefully that helps the next family. I can't recommend this place unfortunately because the owner is just so kind, and sweet. I feel terrible having to give this place such a bad review, but other family should beware.
