The dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. There is a bakery at the premises, and it's possible to bake your own bread there. Personnel is friendly and welcoming. His mom made a delicious home cooked meal and prepared the breakfast buffet early enough for us to eat before we had to leave. The view was fantastic and the room comfortable. "This was the most memorable and beautiful lodging of our entire 3 wk Portugal stay! The Quinta is beautiful in every way and the staff could not be more accommodating. The view of the Duoro Valley and river is magnificent, pictures don’t do it justice. there is a stunning infinity pool and breathtaking views everywhere! The rooms are small but stylish and lovely with outdoor seating. Great Restaurant , wine tasting and boat tour (for extra charges) Don’t hesitate to book this stay. We hope to return someday. "
"We enjoyed this hotel. We had a lovely room with a terrace overlooking the Douro River. Dinner in the luxury dining room was excellent but expensive. Bar food was good and reasonably priced. The pool was nice. We enjoyed the town with winery visits and boat trips. The only really odd thing was that the bottom of the shower door does not come to the floor and water flooded the bathroom floor. This happened to our friends also, so it was not just our room. You learn to stand in one small spot to wash. Odd, I would say. "
