Every hotel should have a Sophia, who was front of house and utterly charming. The restaurant staff were so very helpful, breakfast was fantastic and our room superb. A 5 Euro Uber/Bolt gets you into the old town in ten minutes. "

"Friendly attentive staff, top notch bartender and drinks, beautiful breakfast, excellent amenities and Massage. My one concern is the quality of the bed. The springs were felt through the mattress, and I had a very uncomfortable four night sleep with the strings sticking into my back."

"This is the perfect property if you’re interested in easy accessibility to Braga city center walking and shopping. The property is built in an old structure that may have contained stables.
Gaining entrance has you using lock boxes and opening old doors into dark hallways that are motion lit as you enter. After 2 sets of keys, two combination lockboxes and 3 doors you are in your suite. From that point on entry and exits are much less complicated. I rather enjoyed the process, initially not knowing what light would turn on next. The room was clean and felt safe. It was perfect for our stay. The AC cools the entire building, so no individual controls in the room but no worries, the room was quite comfortable even during an unseasonably warm 91F day.
The parking that we found around city center was pay and expired every 2 hours from 0900-1900 daily so there were a couple days, when parked there, that we would just go feed the meter.
Overall it was a fun place to stay with restaurants opening for lunch and dinner right outside the building. I was very pleased we were able to stay and would highly recommend! "

"Communication needs improvement. Unbeknownst to us, the European's rely on Whatsapp. Most Americans don't use Whatsapp. Arrival instructions didn't come until the day of, even though I had requested much earlier. The day of, I'm traveling to get there with no wifi connection, thereforth no information. Very frustrating. Also part of the address number was missing, which made it difficult to find in the dark.Once we got past that the place was beautiful. Enjoyed the small balcony. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. 66 STEPS up to the apartment, be prepared."
"It was very bad weather in Braga and they let me have my room early as I was wet through and my room was ready. This was good. At night I asked if I had already paid for breakfast and they said I hadn't. I asked what the cost was. They did not ask me to reserve or pay, and they said next morning that I couldn't have breakfast because I hadn't reserved it the previous evening. Eventually, and because I could speak Portuguese, they allowed me to have their breakfast. Payment €3.50"
