"Great property for a large group. We had 9 people and it was excellent, very versatile for a mixed group of couples and singles. It's really well insulated so once the fire had heated the place up, it stayed toasty warm during our rather cold winter stay. "

The studio is smallish but has the essentials, and its terrace is a very nice place to spend time on. The owners are kind, helpful and pleasant to communicate to. "This is a true old style Kiwi bach, a bit scruffy and well worn/used. But that is its beauty and authenticity. Staying by the beach in a more remote part of Aotearoa, I do not want a super-swish, Auckland style apartment. The area is stunningly beautiful, especially Whanarua Bay itself. But there seem to be undertones of local conflict over who can fish, how and where. So be careful and sensitive."
