"Great outdoor garden, pool and setting. Unfortunately restaurants food is still and has been for a long time very bad, quality and taste is on a level of a 2 star hotel. Cleanliness of rooms was mediocre, minibar no wine or prosecco. "

Beim Frühstück wurde man bedient und es wurde sogar Rührei frisch zubereitet.
Sehr zu empfehlen.
Für Menschen die es ruhig mögen: Es gibt Zimmer direkt über dem Pub, die nachts etwas laut sind, allerdings für mich persönlich kein Problem. "

"We had such a lovely, warm welcome and the staff could not be more helpful. Inside, the hotel is clean and welcoming. The hotel is very conveniently positioned and about 10 or 15 minutes to the tram stop into Basel. The breakfast was absolutely first class - plenty of options and the rooms were great."

"We had a great stay. The property was easy to get to, checkin and out was very easy and staff were very helpful and friendly. A huge bonus was the free transport pass we received from the hotel. The S-Bahn stop is right in front of the entrance which was awesome. Shops and bakery right around the corner too. "

"This hotel was probably very nice 30 or 40 years ago but quite tired. Staff is minimal and I waited for over 30 minutes to checkin. Then went down to use the spa at 1800 and no people were around. No towels. Another guest said after 1800 it was necessary to go to the front desk for towels. No staff around for another 30 minutes. Several of the spa facilities were shutdown or not functioning. The whole reason I went to this hotel was that it was rated as 4 star!! It was far from a 3...

"After many hours on the road, we finally arrived at the "Carathotel Basel/Weil am Rhein" and we couldn’t have been more satisfied. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and our room was absolutely perfect. We were given a huge, comfortable bed, and everything was clean and well-prepared.
We truly can’t fault a single thing and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and pleasant stay.

The room was charming and comfortable, and the central location made it easy to reach both the train station and the old town on foot. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Was surprised to be charged for bottles of water left in room - had mistakenly assumed these were complimentary 4Euros is no big deal but it would have been good to make the charge clear."

"Totally overpriced, felt like total scam. Had booked a spacious family room, got a regular double. Very old building, no lift. Bathroom has been renovated but obviously by an amateur, not finished. Both windows were broken. Although non smoking room there has been clearly smoked and disguised by refresher spray, ugly smell. Lady at ckeckout was nice though. "
